C*4 Presents Savage Streets! Capital City Championship Combat returns to the Preston Event Centre in Little Italy, Ottawa on Friday night for their second event of 2023. The promotion kicked things off in a big way last month with GO!, headlined by a 60-minute time limit draw between Stu Grayson and defending C*4 Champion Kevin Blackwood.

Friday’s event, titled Savage Streets, looks to build on this momentum. The card features three championship bouts, as well as a mix of multi-person and grudge matches.

Advance tickets remain available for $30 here and in-person at Vertigo Records and The Odds and Sods Shoppe until 1 p.m. Friday. Any remaining tickets will be $40 at the door.

Isaiah Broner’s Open Contract

The man known as “The Problem”, Isaiah Broner, has quickly dismantled his opponents during his first three matches in C*4. After victimizing Mikey Thunder, Jeff Fury and most recently CPA, is Broner set for another walk in the park on Friday? Or will a worthy opponent finally step up to C*4’s fastest-rising star?

TDT + Twiggy Will Appear

After causing chaos during the last few C*4 shows, especially at the expense of Junior Benito and Buxx Belmar, TDT, and Twiggy are said to be in the Preston on Friday night. What will the trio have to say, or how might they become involved during Savage Streets?

Junior Benito vs. The One-Called Manders

In a massive first-time matchup, Junior Benito is set to face The Once Called Manders. Benito is undoubtedly looking to move past his issues with Twiggy and TDT and get back in the winning column after an impressive 2022 season in C*4.

Manders made his C*4 debut last November at Deep Rising, coming up short against Joshua Bishop in an unbelievably physical C*4 Underground Championship match. The “Cornbelt Cowboy” will look to redeem himself this month against one of C*4’s most popular hometown favorites.

8-Person Tag Match
For The Glory, Cecil Nyx & Alexia Nicole vs. Locked and Loaded, Mortar & Taylor Rising

This wild 8-person tag match will see the team of For The Glory, Cecil Nyx and Alexia Nicole take on Locked and Loaded, Mortar and Taylor Rising. On one side of the ring, the father-son duo of For The Glory enter this match with a 0-2 record in C*4 Tag Team matches. Cecil Nyx and Alexia Nicole, although typically singles competitors, have had success together most notably forcing Fight Or Flight to disband for this C*4 season.

In the other corner, the most experienced duo of Locked and Loaded lead the charge. The pair have been a mainstay of C*4’s Tag Team Division for years, although they couldn’t score a single victory in 2022.  This will be Mortar’s second C*4 match, he made his debut at 2022’s Deep Rising, coming up short in a four-way match that also involved Nyx. Taylor Rising holds a victory over Nicole in a similar 8-person tag last May.

Violence Is Forever (c) vs. Puf + Pretty Ricky vs. MSP The Vibe vs. Hawkestepper

Violence Is Forever look to continue their reign of dominance as they approach one year as C*4 Tag Team Champions. Kevin Ku and Dominic Garrini last ran through Shayne Hawke and Macrae Martin at GO!, with the latter hoping for a different outcome this time. Adding an extra element this time is Puf & Pretty Ricky, who have seen their fair share of recent success in 6-person tag matches alongside Sexxxy Eddy. Rounding out this four-way bout is MSP The Vibe, who came up short in their last pursuit of VIF’s titles in a three-way match at Season of the Witch that also involved TDT.

Evil Uno vs. Marcus Mathers

AEW Star and Dark Order member Evil Uno is back, fresh out of a gruelling match with Jon Moxley on Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite. Standing across the ring from Uno will be Marcus Mathers. The young GCW standout has competed in C*4 on numerous occasions in the past with a less-than stellar record, but don’t let that fool you. Mathers is entering this match with something to prove to the C*4 audience, against one of the promotion’s most beloved wrestlers.

C*4 Underground Championship Six-Way Scramble
Joshua Bishop (c) vs. Myung-Jae Lee vs. Jody Threat vs. Jimmy Lloyd vs. James Stone vs. Kobe Durst

C*4 Underground Champion Joshua Bishop has been on an absolute tear since capturing the title in September. At Savage Streets, he’ll face off against five worthy challengers in what promises to be the typical high-octane multi-person matchup that C*4 is known for.

Bishop enters the match with bad blood continuing to boil with “Scrapper” James Stone, after he and Vanessa Kraven defeated The C*4 Underground Champion and LuFisto last month.  Now Stone looks to get it done once again, taking aim at Bishop’s title. Joining the fray is the unpredictable “Wild Child” Jody Threat, young standout Myung-Jae Lee, former Underground Champion “Diamond Tiger” Kobe Durst, and the debuting Jimmy Lloyd.

Four Corners Match
Alec Price vs. Buxx Belmar vs. Jordan Oliver vs. Sheldon Jean

Like Junior Benito, former C*4 Champion Buxx Belmar looks to put TDT and Twiggy behind him as he enters this four-corners match. Making his C*4 return is recent Impact Wrestling signee and former C*4 Tag Team Champion, Ottawa’s very own Sheldon Jean.

Jordan Oliver will also step into a C*4 ring for the first time since 2019, another GCW mainstay, Oliver has grown to become an independent wrestling standout. Rounding out the field is Alec Price, wrestling for the second time in C*4 following a October loss to Benito.

Vanessa Kraven vs. LuFisto

This grudge match will pit Vanessa Kraven against LuFisto, with animosity stemming back to last month’s tag team match which also involved James Stone and C*4 Underground Champion Joshua Bishop. Kraven and Stone came out on top, with both looking to do the same at Savage Streets. Both Bishop and LuFisto never back down from a fight, and look for some sweet revenge in their respective bouts.

Kevin Blackwood (c) vs. Joey Janela

The main event of the evening will see C*4 Champion Kevin Blackwood defend his title against the “Bad Boy” Joey Janela. Blackwood’s reign has seen him defeat “Speedball” Mike Bailey and Jonathan Gresham, and most recently wrestle Stu Grayson to a 60-Minute time limit draw.

Blackwood claims he had outlasted Grayson, but will be able to outlast Janela? And is he is able to, is Grayson really going to back down after the draw last month? We’ll find out Friday night at the Preston Event Centre, when C*4 presents Savage Streets.
