IMPACT Wrestling promised excitement for Emergence, and the 2-night special certainly delivered on night one. Last week saw Rohit Raju capture the X-Division Championship, Moose retain his TNA World Heavyweight Championship. MCMG holding onto the tag team championships, along with The Good Brothers’ clash with Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. But how will Night 2 compare? Let’s find out as we explore Brace For IMPACT for 8/25/20 Emergence: Night 2

    Brian Myers vs Willie Mack

Brian Myers’s return to IMPACT Wrestling had an inauspicious start on August 11th. That night, he answered IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Eddie Edwards’s open challenge but came up empty. Last week, however, he interrupted Jimmy Jacobs’s interview with former X Division champion Willie Mack to demand the spotlight. Willie Mack didn’t appreciate the former Curt Hawkins coming to IMPACT and demanding the spotlight. This week Brian Myers will have to either put up or shut up as he faces the bigger, heavier, more decorated, Willie Mack.

Why Did EC3 Steal The TNA Championship?

EC3 turned heads when he made his presence known at Slammiversary. The former WWE wrestler has claimed he’s out to destroy his past but hasn’t made it clear what that means. It appears, however, that he’s set his eyes on the unsanctioned TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Moose. Last week, EC3 stole Moose’s TNA World Heavyweight Championship belt, and this week, he’ll tell us why. These two clashed during EC3’s previous run with IMPACT, but surely he’d want to put their history behind him? We’ll get the answers tomorrow night.

The Eddie Edwards Open Challenge Continues

    Brace For IMPACT for 8/25/20

Eddie Edwards promised he’d be a fighting champion, and he’s delivered on his word every week. He opened with an exciting, fast-paced match with Trey Miguel. He followed with a strong showing against the returning Brian Myers. And he proved he wasn’t afraid to get crazy when Sami Callihan answered the challenge. While all this was happening, Eric Young’s presence seemed to linger in the background. The World Class Maniac brutalized the competition in the 5-way elimination match at Slammiversary. It looks like Young is waiting to strike at the new IMPACT World Champion. Could tonight be the night, or is there a different surprise in store?

    Knockouts Championship
    30-Minute Ironman Match
Deonna Purrazzo (c) vs Jordynne Grace

    Brace For IMPACT for 8/25/20

Deonna Purrazzo generated a lot of buzz when she signed with IMPACT Wrestling in May of this year. In her debut vignette, she spoke of her skill and precision in the ring, dubbing herself “The Virtuosa.” She put those skills on display in her debut match, putting away Alisha Edwards in under 5 minutes. The Virtuosa made her championship ambitions clear that night when she attacked the former Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace during an interview.

Grace accepted Purrazzo’s challenge, and the two squared off at Slammiversary. That night, The Virtuosa forced Jordynne Grace to submit with her Fujiwara Armbar. Tomorrow night Deonna Purrazzo defends the Knockouts Championship for the first time in a rematch against Jordynne Grace in a 30-minute ironman match. Can The Virtuosa withstand 30 minutes with Jordynne Grace or is Thick Mama Pump too powerful for Purrazzo. Find out tomorrow night at Emergence Night 2
