This week’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling promises to be something special for a few reasons. First, we have the fallout from Saturday night’s No Surrender special event. But we also have a debuting tag team from NJPW and a whole new program from IMPACT Wrestling. Before The IMPACT is the new IMPACT Wrestling pre-show, airing on AXS TV at 7 PM Eastern. Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus of DECAY will take on XXXL in the first-ever Before The IMPACT match. Here’s what’s in store for tonight’s IMPACT Wrestling. We present Brace for IMPACT for 2/16/21.

At No Surrender, we saw the debut of a brand new match type in IMPACT Wrestling, The Triple Threat Revolver Match. 8 of the top wrestlers in the X-Division faced off in a gauntlet held under triple threat rules, with Josh Alexander coming out on top. However, there’s still more work to be done to bring the X-Division back under control. Rohit Raju’s controversial reign as champion left the X-Division in a state of disrepair. Tuesday night, Willie Mack, Suicide, Daivari, and Trey Miguel will face off in a Fatal Four-Way. The smart money for this match is on Trey Miguel, hungry for championship gold after his return to the company. However, Willie Mack has the most recent reign as champion, not to mention the significant size advantage. This Fatal Four-Way Match will determine much of the landscape for the X-Division moving forward. Whoever wins, they’ll find themselves one step closer to #1 Contendership.

On Saturday night, X-Division Champion TJP overcame Rohit Raju and his henchman Mahabali Shera to retain his title. It was a brutal match, with The Desi Hit Squad laying into TJP before the bell. However, before the night was over, TJP had pinned Raju to keep his title. Earlier on in the same night, Josh Alexander outlasted seven other competitors in the Triple Threat Revolver match to become the #1 contender. In a match featuring Ace Austin, Trey Miguel, Chris Bey, and Willie Mack, The Walking Weapon seemed like the long shot. But on Tuesday night, he’ll challenge TJP for the X-Division Championship. This will be only the second time Josh Alexander meets TJP in singles action. The first time they met was in February of last year, while Alexander and tag team partner Ethan Page feuded with TJP and Fallah Bahh. But a lot has changed over the course of a year. Tuesday night, it’s a battle of strength, agility, and technical skill as Josh Alexander challenges TJP for the X-Division Championship.

During the No Surrender broadcast, we saw a vignette featuring highlights of David Finlay and Juice Robinson of FinJuice. It seems that when Tony Khan opened “The Forbidden Door,” he also brought NJPW to IMPACT Wrestling. During their time in NJPW, David Finlay and Juice Robinson racked up 3 championship reigns. Together, they’ve held the IWGP Tag Team Championship once, while Juice Robinson has been IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion twice. But what does this talented duo have in mind for IMPACT Wrestling? We’ll find out on Tuesday night as FinJuice makes their debut in the IMPACT Zone.

    What Else To Expect

    • Singles action in the Knockouts Division as we start the #1 contendership race
    • Deaner faces consequences for his loss at No Surrender
    • Brian Myers gloats about defeating Eddie Edwards.
