Brace For IMPACT for 1/6/2022. IMPACT Wrestling is looking to kicking off 2022 with a bang as we present Brace for IMPACT for 1/6/22! Not only does this week feature the first new episode on AXS TV, but also Hard to Kill, the first PPV of the calendar year. We recently learned that Jonathan Gresham will defend the ROH World Championship against Chris Sabin on the show.

However, there’s still time for more surprise additions to this Saturday night’s supercard. Brace for IMPACT as we break down what you can expect this Thursday night at 8 PM on AXS TV.

Tasha Steelz, Lady Frost, & Chelsea Green (w/Savannah Evans) vs. Jordynne Grace, Raechel Ellering, & Rosemary (w/Havoc)

This Saturday night at Hard to Kill, IMPACT Wrestling will mark a world-first when these six women compete in an Ultimate X match. The winner of this historic Ultimate X match will earn the right to challenge for the Knockouts Championship. However, before these six women can make history, they’ll be facing off in tag team action. From the outset, Grace, Ellering, and Rosemary would appear to have the advantage. Jordynne Grace is reigning Digital Media Champion, and she has an existing partnership with Raechel Ellering.

And all three women have held the Knockouts Tag Team Championships in the past year. On the other side, Steelz, Frost, & Green only have one former champion among their ranks. On top of that, Chelsea Green has connections to top babyface Matt Cardona. Could this cause a rift between Green and her teammates? And what about the two titans at ringside? Will Havoc and Savannah Evans come to blows? Be sure to catch this powderkeg of a matchup this Thursday night on AXS TV.

    Karl Anderson vs. Heath

When Heath returned after nearly a year on the shelf, he set his sights squarely on Eric Young and Violent By Design. The World Class Maniac had inducted Heath’s best friend, Rhino, into his demented organization. Heath was intent on liberating Rhino and punishing the man who abused his friend. However, EY scuttled those plans in the usual way, recruiting IMPACT World Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers into the numbers game.

This Saturday night, Heath and Rhino team up with Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann, and Willie Mack to take on Violent By Design and The Good Brothers in a colossal 10-man Hardcore War. However, before then, Heath will take on one half of the IMPACT World Tag Team Champions, Karl Anderson, in singles action. Will they be able to keep it to two men in the ring, or will tensions explode before they settle the score once and for all this Saturday night?

    Deonna Purrazzo vs Mercedes Martinez

This Saturday night, Deonna Purrazzo faces Mickie James for the Knockouts Championship in a Texas Deathmatch. But before we witness the most anticipated rematch in Knockouts history, Deonna Purrazzo has a score to settle with Mercedes Martinez. At Knockouts Knockdown II, Mercedes Martinez won a #1 contendership tournament, stepping in front of Deonna Purrazzo in the lineup to challenge Mickie James.

Purrazzo was not happy about having to wait until 2022 to get her championship rematch. At Turning Point, James defeated Martinez, retaining the knockouts championship. Before James had a chance to savor her victory, Purrazzo stormed the ring, trapping James in the Venus De Milo armbar. This week, Purrazzo may face comeuppance at the hands of the other woman she disrespected by attacking Mickie James.

    What Else To Expect

    • Josh Alexander and JONAH stand face-to-face.
    • The Influence and The IInspiration continue to explode!
