?In a mere few days, we have taken NXT to another level. From Full Sail to the PC to the pending announcement of The Thunderdome, NXT has become a war zone for the clashes that will set the bar for weeks to come after NXT Takeover XXX takes place. But before the Summer’s biggest event in the history of the black and gold brand, we prepare for what is still to be a big edition of NXT on USA capped off by a bigger confrontation between the man whose literally put the brand on his back vs. the man who wants to bring hell to NXT.  Let’s check out what’s Coming Up NXT for 8/19/20 – Before We TakeOver.

    Turmoil Of Trios

Legado Del Fantasma have ruled over the NXT brand’s cruiserweights with an iron fist over the past few months since the El Patron, Santos Escobar, became NXT Cruiserweight Champion. But while Escobar, Raul Mendoza, and Joaquin Wilde have made their intentions to be the dominant faction, their path to greatness has had many slips up on the way including their fight against the only man who holds a victory over the Santos… Isaiah Scott.

But Swerve isn’t the only man whose become fed up with Legado’s run to the top of the heap, as Breezango has also become frustrated with the trio’s actions towards them including the public beating laid upon them two weeks ago. But with a pending decision from William Regal to grant Scott his first taste at NXT gold against Santos Escobar, the six men with nothing to lose clash in an epic tag team match for supremacy.

Will Legado Del Fantasma continue to show the brand why they are the rulers of the 205 weight class by defeating three of their most prominent detractors? Or will Breezango get a sense of retribution while Scott solidify his claim as the #1 Contender to the NXT Cruiserweight Championship?

    The Last Chance

And while there is a definitive fight over who stands tall in the cruiserweight division, the chance to become North American Champion is front and center on this week’s edition of NXT in two epic matches for the two vacant spots in the ladder match at NXT Takeover XXX.

First, Johnny Gargano faces newcomer Ridge Holland for the first time ever. Johnny made it known last week, live from the Gargano household, on how he’s ready to climb the ladder of success once again in NXT. But Holland is not threatened by the smaller man. After already tussling with some of NXT UK’s elite, Ridge is ready to hold gold in USA. Will Johnny Gargano get his chance to come the only 2-time North American Champion? Or will Ridge Holland, impressive in his triple threat match, impress once again and shock the world-beating a former NXT Champion?

Then, Finn Balor has become the man to watch. No matter what the demographic, Balor has made it clear that when he’s on TV, all eyes are on him. But while our above advertisement states an unknown, the question was answered, Balor will face the returning Velveteen Dream who came back with a vengeance. Will Balor step over Dream and become the only 3rd man ever to become a Triple Crown Champion in NXT? Or will this new, aggressive Velveteen Dream set his eyes on once again holding North American gold?

    Face Time

We will solidify the next two men to be added to NXT Takeover: XXX epic North American Championship ladder match. One is former champion in Adam Cole who made it clear last week: he is still the bar in NXT. Pat McAfee needs to respect that. But Pat, a man who lets his talking do the work may have bitten more than he can chew as he accepts an invite to come to NXT on this week’s show.

The pro bowler has gone from ESPN to WWE to radio to speak on how he feels about Adam Cole but there’s more to wrestling than being good on the mic. Before their match, these two meet face to face in what is sure to once again be the trending topic across all platforms. Will Adam Cole get a chance at a receipt for that vicious kick McAfee delivered two weeks ago on NXT TV? Or will the man with the iron foot once again show up the NXT Champion vocally and physically?

    The Time Is Now

Finally, the match is set. NXT Takeover XXX’s main event for the NXT Championship will be Keith Lee vs. Karrion Kross. But after delivering a fireball to the champion’s face, will Kross and Scarlett receive retribution from the Limitless One? All while on route to their big title match?

Also on this week’s show, we will likely hear from the Robert Stone Brand. After they were run off from the ring by Rhea Ripley, and another RS Brand thorn in Shotzi Blackheart, what can we expect? How will Stone, Aliyah, and ‘the Mercenary’ Mercedes Martinez respond to this newly formed team?

Io Shirai made it clear on last week’s show, she sees Dakota Kai. But will she underestimate the betrayer? Dakota Kai is seeking her first shot at NXT gold with her match at Takeover XXX. She goes up against ‘the Genius of the Sky’. But without any backup, help, or scheme, can she finally win the biggest match of her career?

And that was Coming Up NXT for 8/19/20. Tune in Wednesday as NXT is only on the USA Network!
