Hello, everybody! This blog is on my time at Empire State Wrestling’s big year-end event, WrestleBash XIII. Let’s dive right into the details on how we ended 2023 in a major way. Going into WrestleBash, we sought to increase our sponsorship and vendor opportunities. I led this effort and think it turned out well. We brought in Crush-It and Next Level Nutrition, who provided healthy drinks; Universal Chiropractic, who gave adjustments to the wrestlers after their matches; Jocifer Exotic Drinks; McKinger’s Collectibles; Buffalo Frenzy, who sold Buffalo sports gear; Roc City Rewind, which sold some vintage collectibles, Buffalo Brews Podcast,…
When former World Wrestling Entertainment stars make appearances on an independent wrestling event, they typically generate the biggest buzz around the show. But at Empire State Wrestling’s WrestleBash XIII, happening this Friday at Buffalo RiverWorks, the biggest spotlight will be shined on two of the promotion’s top homegrown talents in the main event is headlined by a Steel Cage Clash. ESW Heavyweight Champion Kevin Bennett will defend the title against Vince Valor in a steel cage match. The highly anticipated bout is the capstone of a year-long feud between the two competitors. Entering the bout, Valor feels confident in his…
Big Fall Bash | Jarkaster Journey
Hello, everybody! This blog is about my time at Buffalo Championship Wrestling’s latest event, Big Fall Bash, which took place on September 30, 2023. Let’s dive into the details! It was a full day for me all around. On top of taking my daughter to her dance lessons that morning, I worked a few hours of overtime for my day job. Luckily for me, I work mostly from home, so after I reached the required amount of hours, I finished preparing for the show and left. Big Fall Bash was held at the Arlene Mychajliw Community Center in the Babcock…
The Tale of Turn It Up | Jarkaster Journey
The Tale of Turn It Up Hello, everybody! Thanks for checking out my latest blog on my times as a referee. This entry is on Empire State Wrestling’s Turn It Up that went down in Niagara Falls on September 23. Let’s get going on what occurred at ESW’s first show of the fall. My week heading into this show was super hectic. One of my best buddies from high school, known as Martin J. Prescott III of The Rich Kidz when he was an active pro wrestler, got married the day before Turn It Up. The Tale of Turn It…
Hello everybody, this is all about my return to Buffalo Championship Wrestling at its latest event, Thank You Veterans, at the Donovan Post in Cheektowaga, N.Y. Here is what went down! Going into this show, we were juggling quite a few things at home. My son was sick during the week, so we monitored how he felt, and my daughter had soccer that Saturday morning, then a get-together with her Girl Scout Troop. Everything managed to work out in the end, and my family and parents made it. Thank You Veterans Presented Buffalo Championship Wrestling The morning weather report indicated…
Empire State Wrestling presents Turn It Up
ESW returns from its summer hiatus this Saturday by hosting an ex-World Wrestling Entertainment star at its next event as Empire State Wrestling Presents Turn It Up. Turn It Up will take place at the Frontier Fire Hall in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and feature former WWE Light Heavyweight and Tag Team Champion Scotty 2 Hotty. Known across the wrestling world for popularizing his worm dance, this will be Scotty’s second match in ESW. He first wrestled for the promotion in 2016 when he challenged then-ESW Heavyweight Champion Will Calrissian for the title in Olean, N.Y. Empire State Wrestling presents Turn…
Mayhem at the McCarthy | Jarkaster Journey
Hello, everybody! This post is on Empire State Wrestling’s latest event in July, called Mayhem at the McCarthy. Let’s dive in! Mayhem at the McCarthy was ESW’s debut in Batavia, N.Y., at the McCarthy Ice Arena. The city is located almost equidistance between Buffalo and Rochester. Over the years, other wrestling promotions ran in Batavia, but this was the first time ESW held its own event there. Batavia is a typical rural Upstate New York City but possesses a few attractions that make it stand out. Batavia Downs holds a horse racing track and casino. Dwyer Stadium houses the Batavia…
Hello, everybody! As the summer keeps grinding on, I am slowly working on getting my blogs updated. This one is about my time at Empire State Wrestling’s Friday Night Heat their June event. Friday Night Heat took place at the Frontier Fire Hall in Niagara Falls. A major reason it was held on a Friday instead of a Saturday was due to Forbidden Door happening in Toronto that weekend. If the event went down on the following Saturday instead, I would have missed it due to my daughter’s recital being that day (and the next one). On top of that,…
ESW presents Mayhem at the McCarthy
Empire State Wrestling will debut in a second new location this Sunday as ESW presents Mayhem at the McCarthy in Batavia, N.Y. The event will feature many of ESW’s regulars, plus a meet and greet with a World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Famer. “I’m excited to expand ESW’s footprint further with Mayhem at the McCarthy,” said ESW promoter Brett Stymus. “I think the Batavia fans are going to have a great time at this event after experiencing the best wrestling product based in all of Western New York.” The main event match for Mayhem at the McCarthy will be ESW…
Revenge Takes Off! | Jarkaster Journey |
Hello, everybody! It’s been a while since my last blog update. This one is about my time at Revenge Pro’s latest event that went down in May called Revenge Takes Off! After this event, my life was consumed with family obligations and doing behind-the-scenes work for Empire State Wrestling. I do apologize for taking as long as it did for this one. Nonetheless, less jump in and take off! It was about a year ago since I last appeared with Revenge at its old home, the Avalon Hotel. This event took place at the Erie Sports Center, a multisport complex…
