In an archived interview from 2015, Pro Wrestling Post spoke with ec3 who at the time used his entire name at that point Ethan Carter III has endured a great deal of change. As a former up and coming talent as part of WWE developmental territories such as Ohio Valley Wrestling, Deep South Wrestling and then later NXT where Daniel Bryan was his mentor. A pro wrestler/sports entertainer for nearly 17 years, ec3 has experienced a number of highs and lows professionally. It is incredible to see just how far ec3 has come in the business. He has faced obstacles and through it, all remains focused that despite anything that stands in his way he will overcome it. We present to you audio interview edition with EC3.

After being released from the WWE, ec3 was borne as part of Impact Wrestling. As the nephew of Dixie Carter, ec3 isn’t unlike independent wrestlers such as MJF that believe they come from privilege. After achieving all he could in IMPACT Wrestling, Ethan Carter III left the promotion that showed him that he is exactly who he says he is. During our chat, we addressed his past, his present, and his professional future. This was conducted prior to his joining the WWE and their NXT brand. The future is still quite bright for ec3 regardless of where he is and whom he is in the ring against. As recent call up to the main roster, ec3 has yet to officially sink his teeth into a meaningful feud but it is only a matter of time before that happens.

As a wrestling enthusiast for over 30 years, my fondness for professional wrestling explores the irrational in a rational way. I will explore the details inside and outside the ring and hopefully have a laugh with you in the process. I've had the fortune to interview wrestlers from Lucha Underground, TNA, Ring of Honor, GFW, and former WWE talent as well. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @TheMarcMadison
