Prior to the match the showcase the buildup to the battle between Daniel Bryan and ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt. From the initial attack on Bryan to The Miz TV confrontation between Wyatt and Bryan. Wyatt’s intention to trying to coerce him to say YES to have him embrace what he was rather than what he aspires to be. When it appeared as though Bryan was going to usher in a return to the YES movement we have the challenger attacked.

While Bryan awaits Wyatt in the ring fans begin to chant ‘Let him In’. It is is just then when the sobering theme of the Firefly Funhouse begins and has the morphed old Wyatt theme kick in. Wyatt comes to the ring with his lantern in tow. As soon as the bell rings, Daniel Bryan takes the fight to Bray Wyatt. With the redlight cascading the entire match, Wyatt recovers and brings the fight back to Daniel Bryan. Wyatt continues to say to a beaten Bryan ‘remember me’. Each time Bryan attempts to fight back, Wyatt stops him dead in his tracks. The Fiend lifts Bryan with a suplex release across the ring. He then torque’s the head and neck of Daniel Bryan.

As Bryan recovers he attempts to take the fight back to The Fiend. He hits a tope suicida onto the Fiend. Bryan then hits a crossbody splash over the turnbuckle to the floor onto Bray Wyatt. For each time he hits The Fiend with a heavy strike, Bray Wyatt gets back up. Whether it is a series of YES kicks or strikes. After a series of three sets of YES kicks, Bryan sets up for his running knee strike. He hits it and The Fiend then kicks out after a count of two! With the fans hot for Bryan, Wyatt then locks in a mandible claw! However, Bryan then hits him with an armbar over the top rope. However, Wyatt eventually catches him with another mandible claw for a three count.

After the match, the haunting look and presence of ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt stood in the ring in the red light. This win showed that the Smackdown is clearly the land of The Fiend. Who will challenge Wyatt for the Universal championship moving forward? While isn’t sure at the moment what is sure is they will have to defeat ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt in doing so.
