This week’s preview of AEW Rampage for 5/27/22 is the go-home show leading into the third-anniversary edition of Double or Nothing. It features three matches, including a semifinals match in the women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament between two fan favorites.

With Double or Nothing taking place only a couple of days from now, it is all about setting up last-minute matches and feuds. A reported match not announced but speculated to take place involves Kyle O’Reilly and Darby Allin for Sunday night’s show. But with that expected to take place, questions loom about as the Young Bucks are in action on Rampage with opponents still yet to be announced. Here is the AEW Rampage preview for 5/27/22

    Young Bucks In Action

As mentioned earlier, the Young Bucks are set to compete in action ahead of Sunday’s show. While it is known who they are expected to face on Sunday, Friday night’s opponents remain a mystery. The Young Bucks will once again face former inspirations of theirs in the Hardy’s at Double or Nothing. Could that be a factor in this match-up? For instance, could a team such as the Work Horseman be whom the duo faces on this evening?

At this point, spoilers of the show are likely available online, but if we preview on the surface and simply work with the graphic above, it really is anyone’s guess. If whom they face is a notable tag team, they would likely have announced that, wouldn’t they? Tune in tomorrow night to find out for sure.

    Women’s Tournament Semifinal

While the tournament has done a great deal to help elevate several women, there is something about Kris Statlander that makes advancing more likely. She has recently spoken about her growth and character change in order to be taken seriously. A win, along with her new character, is likely to have contributed to doing more for her. Will a win guarantee her to be taken seriously? Without a doubt.

It is key that she win to move on and face Baker and be a threat to win the entire tournament. With that said, what if Statlander loses? Could we see her completely snap and beat down Ruby Soho? It feels as though her role in the Best Friends is becoming further and further removed. A heel turn could be exactly what she needs to also be taken seriously.

A loss could also have a trickle-down effect and lead to her getting involved in Sunday and cost an already wounded Soho a chance to win the tournament. Regardless of the result, we have the duo of both Britt Baker and Adam Cole in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament finals. A Shawn Michaels guy in the finals of a Hart family tournament seems like such an evil yet wonderful thing to do.

    Bryan Danielson vs. Matt Sydal
    Special Guest Commentator William Regal

Two very seasoned talents will likely close out Rampage this week. But as Double or Nothing is on the horizon, questions as to the health of Danielson’s knee also loom. With it being a target of the Jericho Appreciation Society this past Wednesday, will Sydal target it on this night? If he does, we could see the wounded animal come out in the American Dragon.

That very same animal may also face the chances of an outside attack by the Jericho Appreciation Society ahead of Sunday night’s pay per view. In saying this, Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz best be on high alert as the chances of this match getting out of hand quickly is very much a possibility.

    What To Expect

    • Scorpio Sky receives a new TNT Championship Title
    • AEW Tag Team Champions and challengers address this Sunday’s show.
    • Samoa Joe and Adam Cole address their upcoming matchup in the Owen Hart Foundation Finals matchup.
    • Britt Baker to address either Kris Statlander or Ruby Soho ahead of their Owen Hart Foundation Finals matchup.
