This Friday, we have a stacked card with a fourth match which we don’t usually see on Rampage as we preview AEW Rampage for 12/10/21. First, we will see The Lucha Bros defend their AEW World Tag Team Championships against FTR; in recent weeks, we have witnessed FTR on the warpath to get those titles back. Next, we will also see a six-woman tag team match with Penelope Ford, The Bunny, and Nyla Rose taking on Tay Conti, Anna Jay, and Ruby Soho.

In other action, we will see Wheeler Yuta take on Adam Cole after weeks of tension between their two groups of friends. This week we will also finally see the in-ring debut of Taz’s son Hook. We have witnessed Hook around for a while but have yet to see him officially get in the ring; his first opponent will be Fuego Del Sol. This week will be one to see. Let’s look at each of these matches in more detail as we prepare for this week’s edition of Rampage.

    – Lucha Bros vs. FTR w/ Tully Blanchard

We were supposed to see this match last week, but Rey Fenix was out of commission. So this week, we will see the Lucha Bros defend their titles against former tag team champions FTR with Tully Blanchard by their side. FTR have made it very clear they want to be the first two-time AEW World Tag Team Champions, and they are certainly looking to make that happen this week.

We did see them emerge victorious last week against Penta El Zero Miedo and Pac. Will they be able to repeat that outcome this week? If so, we could see them take back the tag team titles. Both these teams have what it takes to become or stay champions. They are the top-ranked tag teams in all of AEW at this time. So far, the Lucha Bros have successfully maintained their titles, but nothing lasts forever; we shall see what this week brings.

    Six-Woman Tag Team Match
    – The Bunny, Penelope Ford, & Nyla Rose vs. Ruby Soho, Tay Conti, & Anna Jay

This week we will see The Bunny, her friend Penelope Ford, and The Native Beast Nyla Rose take on Ruby Soho, Tay Conti, and Anna Jay in tag team action. We saw this match come together Wednesday on Dynamite as The Bunny, Penelope Ford, and Nyla Rose, accompanied by Vickie Guerrero, attacked Ruby Soho during an interview. It comes as no surprise that Tay Conti and Anna Jay would be a part of this match as they have had some ongoing issues with The Bunny and Penelope Ford.

This match comes just ahead of Ruby Soho and Nyla Rose competing against each other in the TBS Women’s Championship tournament. Over the last few months, there have also been issues between Penelope Ford and The Bunny with Anna Jay and Tay Conti, as we have seen the four of them square off in a series of matches.

Recently we saw Nyla starting to come at Ruby ahead of their match both in the ring and backstage; this match will allow them to get a taste of what the other brings to the table before their one-on-one match. It will be interesting to see how this pans out as Nyla herself has an impressive streak, but so does Tay Conti, and so far, Ruby is on a roll. Additionally, it will be interesting to see which teams end up the victorious ones.

    Wheeler Yuta vs. Adam Cole

In other action, we will see Wheeler Yuta take on Adam Cole. This match more than likely came to be due to the ongoing feud between Best Friends and The Super Elite. We have seen Wheeler Yuta alongside his buddies Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor, and Kris Statlander, often in altercations or matches with Adam Cole and his buddies The Young Bucks.

This week we will see Adam Cole take on Wheeler Yuta one-on-one. Adam Cole so far has had a pretty good run as far as his streak since joining All Elite. Wheeler Yuta has carved a name for himself on the indy circuit and is a skilled wrestler, but will he be able to pick up the win over Cole? There is also the possibility that either the Young Bucks or Best Friends get involved in this match if either party accompanies their friend to the ring.

    Hook vs. Fuego Del Sol

This should be an exciting match as we have never officially seen Hook wrestle in an AEW ring. We have seen him involved in the action from time to time with Team Taz but never in a match. Hook makes his in-ring debut competing against Fuego Del Sol this week on Rampage. We don’t know a whole lot about his in-ring skill just yet, but if he’s anything like his father Taz, he will be one heck of a competitor.

Fuego Del Sol, on the other hand, while his record is a little choppy, at least at this point, has proven that he does have heart, and he is a fighter. We have seen him in quite a few tough battles, and he does not give up. His tenacity and perseverance was what officially got him signed with AEW on Rampage a few months back. Hook will have his work cut out for him facing a determined wrestler like Fuego Del Sol.

Check out AEW Rampage this Friday on TNT to see the outcome!

    What to expect:

    • Can FTR become two-time AEW World Tag Team Champions?
    • Will Soho and her team be victorious, or will the Native Beast and her team pick up the momentum?
    • Will Hook’s debut be all that and a bag of chips?
