On the upcoming edition of AEW Rampage for 01/06/23 three matches are slated to take place. Among the matches include two tag team matches and one with the opponent yet to be announced as of this writing. The evening will be quite busy as right after Rampage, AEW will feature its sixth Battle of the Belts.
With so much happening here, there is a lot to process and feuds to try and have flushed out more. Here is the preview for AEW Rampage for 01/06/23

Perro Peligroso is in action
We heard Preston Vance share in a backstage interview last week how he would like to be known by his new name, Perro Peligroso. As it is translated, it is meant to mean ‘Dangerous Dog’. While he has all the physical attributes, the change in direction for his character is likely something that was due to come his way.
For all intents and purposes, Vance needed to be separated from Dark Order. Yes, to turn your back on your biggest fan and leave the Dark Order in the process was probably the best way to have done it. But now, as part of La Faccion Ingobnerable, he has the chance to be something more.
Whoever will stand across from him on Friday will fall victim to the wrath of the dog. With the absence of Andrade, Peligroso has the chance to be in a more vital role.

We Hear from the House of Black
Since the return of the House of Black, the expectation was that this trio would come in and run rampant in the trios division. The problem is that hasn’t happened. After an initial disruption upon their return, it should have been a sign that things would have been moving in their direction.
While their social media presence would suggest that otherwise, there should have been so much more coming their way. That said, 2023 brings about with it new opportunities and will hopefully be the reason that we see more of the House of Black and that they will address that on this week’s edition of Rampage.

Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D and Jamie Hayter vs. The Renegades
On this past week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, we saw two separate interviews take place. We saw Britt and Jamie share how there should be no reason that Saraya has to ‘find’ a partner when she had two world-class athletes that shared the ring with her in Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida.
We then witnessed Renee Paquette sit down with Saraya, Toni Storm, and Hikaru Shida and announce who her partner will be. She selected Storm, but in how it was presented, it came across as disrespectful to Shida in the process.
But unlike Saraya and Storm, The Piller and The Killer will be in tag action against The Renegade Sisters, a pair we have rarely seen on Dynamite or Rampage.

Top Flight vs. Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson
Moxley and the members of Top Flight have crossed paths on a number of different occasions. Whether it was in singles or with Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley has worked hard and, in the process, has helped shine the light on both Dante and Darius Martin. But this is a reuniting of an old tandem.
It hasn’t been since before William Regal’s departure from AEW that Danielson and Moxley have teamed together. Both have other things on their mind but are coming together in what appears to be the mending of fences and keeping of the Blackpool Combat Club together.
Will they be able to put aside what happened with Regal behind them and focus on defeating Top Flight? With Danielson focused on winning in order to face MJF at Revolution and Moxley preparing to face Hangman Page next week, both men have a lot on their plates.
What To Expect:
- Further, build to next Wednesday’s battle between Hangman Page and Jon Moxley
- Lead into the upcoming AEW World Tag Team Championship rematch.
- Reaction to Darby Allin recapturing the AEW TNT Championship
