Welcome to the latest edition of AEW IGNITE for 10/28/20! This week we will have the semifinals of the World Title Eliminator Tournament. We will have a TNT Championship match as well. Will we also have more Broadway musical numbers? Let us see what is on tap for this week’s AEW Dynamite.

I doubt many people would have expected to see the Steak Dinner between MJF and Chris Jericho turn into a full-blown musical number. Since I am a Broadway musical fan and professional wrestling fan, it was pretty amazing to me. However, it seems that wrestling fans were more mixed in their response. What will happen to the duo this week?

On this week’s AEW Dynamite, the Inner Circle will host a Town Hall to determine if they will allow MJF to join the group. After last week, we should certainly expect the unexpected. Will we get a lot of political jokes? Will we get another glorious song? It is hard to say, but it will be entertaining, to say the least.

Cody (c) vs. Orange Cassidy (TNT Championship) (Lumberjack Match)

Cody defended his newly won TNT Championship against Orange Cassidy just two weeks ago. It ended in a very controversial fashion with a time limit draw. The stakes will be raised in a rematch on this week’s show. It is time for a Lumberjack Match for the TNT Championship.

What role will the Lumberjacks play in the end result? The Dark Order certainly isn’t friends with each competitor, and they will be ringside for this important title match. Will they or any competitor play a pivotal role in the final decision? It will be an excellent match between two of the biggest stars in AEW. And we need to remember the winner has Darby Allin waiting in the wings to face them at AEW Full Gear.

Hangman Page vs. Wardlow  (World Title Eliminator Tournament Semifinal)

It is a semifinal time! As we continue the tournament to determine the new number, one competitor, for the AEW World Championship, we will get this very intriguing match. It is one of the most talented big man in Wardlow against the great Hangman Page.

Wardlow pulled off an upset against Jungle Boy in the first round. He hasn’t wrestled a lot in AEW, but he has always been impressive when he does. Hangman Page has also been quite impressive in his return to singles wrestling in recent weeks. Will Page be able to overcome the size disadvantage on Wednesday night and move onto the finals?

Kenny Omega vs. Penta El Zero M  (World Title Eliminator Tournament Semifinal)

The other semifinal has taken a far more unique path. Penta El Zero M actually lost his first-round match-up against his brother Fenix. But Fenix sustained an injury and has given a second chance to his brother in the semifinals. Can the dangerous Penta take advantage of this huge opportunity?

Kenny Omega pulled off a huge shock when he squashed Sonny Kiss in his first-round match-up. It is certainly not a regular occurrence in AEW to see such a dominant performance. We are also seeing hints of his “Cleaner” persona coming back in All Elite Wrestling. Will this new cocky attitude for Kenny Omega lead him into the finals and a possible match against Hangman Page? It will be exciting to watch on Wednesday night.
