Welcome to the latest edition of AEW IGNITE for 10/21/20! This week we are coming on the heels of the big Anniversary show. The Road to AEW Full Gear has come into a clearer focus. On Wednesday’s show, we will have four first-round tournament matches to help determine a new number one contender. Let us see what they have in store for this week!

    _______________

Jericho and MJF Le Dinner Debonair

MJF had been teasing a major announcement last week. He brought out Chris Jericho, and they had some verbal sparring. The end result seemed to be setting up a Steak Dinner for this week’s show.

It is certainly an interesting segment choice for sure. It will certainly lead to some good comedy steak-eating. The biggest question is, how will the storyline build with these two talented wrestlers?

    Britt Baker In Action

Britt Baker remains the most entertaining wrestler in the entire AEW Women’s Division. Because of injuries, she has been limited in her in-ring action. This week she is finally back in action on AEW Dynamite. The AEW Women’s Division is in desperate need of a new challenger for Hikaru Shida. Will our favorite dentist be the wrestler filling in that void?

AEW #1 Contender Tag Team Match
The Butcher & The Blade vs. The Young Bucks vs. Private Party vs. John Silver & Alex Reynolds

FTR has certainly been clearing out the AEW Tag Team division in recent weeks. They have defeated Jurassic Express, SCU, Hybrid 2, and even The Best Friends. Who can possibly step up to finally stop FTR at AEW Full Gear?

It seems this 4-Way is really setting up for The Young Bucks to finally get the big win. They have had a truly cocky and aggressive attitude in recent weeks. Will it pay off on Wednesday night and get the Young Bucks their dream tag team match against FTR?

It was recently announced that an eight-man tournament would occur to determine a new number one contender for the AEW World Championship. The finals for this huge tournament will take place at AEW Full Gear. We have a talented field for sure. The four first-round matches will all take place on Wednesday night! Let us briefly discuss those four tournament matches.

Kenny Omega will get a first-round match against Joey Janela. Omega has been proudly proclaiming his desire for a return to a singles career. He will get the chance against Janela. These two have had a series of brutal matches in their AEW past. What will possibly happen in this opening match?

It is brother against brother in another first-round match. Penta El Zero M will fight his brother Fenix. They are one of the most exciting teams in professional wrestling. What will these two do to each other with the stakes so high? It will be fun to watch for sure.

    AEW IGNITE for 10/21/20

Hangman Page has been feeling left out after Kenny Omega broke up their successful tag team after AEW All Out. He will get a real chance for singles glory against Colt Cabana. Colt has been feeling a little left out by his friends in Dark Order in recent weeks as well. What will happen when two desperate competitors are in need of a big win in this first-round match?

The final first-round match is Wardlow versus Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy is one of the few wrestlers to pick up a victory over Wardlow in a tag match at AEW Fyter Fest. This will be a rare chance for Wardlow to get some revenge. Can Jungle Boy pull off one of the biggest wins of his career on his biggest stage?

    Let the tournament begin!
