We will have a TNT Championship match, another Labour of Jericho match, and the huge in-ring debut for Malakai Black. Let us find out more about this exciting night in Jacksonville in the latest edition of AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 8/4/21.
Christian Cage vs. The Blade
The Hardy Family Office is not finished with Christian Cage just yet. The Blade has been a blunt weapon for the Family in recent weeks. He has used his brass knuckles to take out opponents for the Family whenever needed. On this week’s Dynamite, Cage gets his shot against the dangerous Blade.
Can Cage overcome the cheating of The Blade? Will other members of the Hardy Family Office get involved? I am sure Christian Cage is hoping to rid himself of the Family once and for all on Wednesday night.

Leyla Hirsch vs. The Bunny
(NWA Women’s Title Eliminator Match)
At NWA Empowerr on August 28th, the NWA Women’s Title will be defended. However, Kamille will be looking for a new challenger for her title for that important show. In a really surprising move, the new contender will be decided on AEW Dynamite: Homecoming.
Leyla Hirsch has been impressive in her limited appearances on AEW Dynamite. She is just looking for that huge breakthrough win. Her opponent on Wednesday will be The Bunny. The Bunny is a dangerous competitor as well. She is always looking for opportunities to pick up the victory. With the stakes this high, she will not be above underhand tactics to win the title shot. Regardless of who wins, we are in for a fun title match at Empowerr.
Miro (c) vs. Lee Johnson
(AEW TNT Championship)
Miro has been a dominant champion since winning the TNT Championship in early May. In recent weeks, he has destroyed Dante Martin, Lance Archer, Evil Uno, and Brian Pillman Jr. Miro is referring to himself as “The Redeemer” and seems truly unstoppable. So who could possibly beat him for the TNT Championship?
He will face a unique challenge in Lee Johnson. Johnson has had a lot of success since joining the Nightmare Family. He seems to be a future star for AEW. Will he find a way to impress against Miro on Wednesday night? That might be the best he can hope for at Homecoming.
Chris Jericho vs. Juventud Guerrera
(Labours of Jericho #3)
This week will be the huge third part of the “Labours of Jericho.” Jericho just survived a brutal death match against Nick Gage. There will be no rest for Jericho as he will be back to wrestling on this Wednesday night. Once again, his opponent is a real surprise. It is Juventud Guerrera coming to AEW to wrestle Jericho for the first time since 1999.
In this Labour, Chris Jericho must win with a top rope move. After the beating he took in Death Match, can Jericho be ready for his old rival? The 46-year-old Guerrera has nothing to lose on Wednesday night. Here is hoping the two can give us some magic again in Jacksonville in 2021.

Cody Rhodes vs. Malakai Black
The main event of AEW Dynamite: Homecoming will be a special one. Malakai Black shocked the wrestling world with his surprise debut at AEW Road Rager. He attacked Arn Anderson and Cody Rhodes on his debut appearance. Since that point, he has set his sights on Rhodes on multiple occasions. He gets his hands on Jacksonville on Wednesday night.
Cody Rhodes has been portrayed as the good guy in this feud. Can the heroic Rhodes overcome another challenge from a dangerous competitor? For Black, this is his chance to make an important first impression. Can Black take down the face of the AEW and go on to even greater heights? It will be a huge main event with high stakes to end another great episode of AEW Dynamite.
