It was a special moment on Friday night for AEW and the professional wrestling world. After a seven-year absence, CM Punk’s return to professional wrestling led to one of the loudest reactions in wrestling history in front of an emotional Chicago crowd. He even laid down a challenge to Darby Allin for AEW All Out. The Summer of Punk now moves on to AEW Dynamite for the very first time on Wednesday night. Let us find out more about this exciting night in Milwaukee in the latest edition of AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 8/25/21.

CM Punk Makes His First AEW Dynamite Debut

CM Punk makes his AEW Dynamite debut on Wednesday night. On his debut AEW Rampage appearance, he discussed old scores he wanted to settle and new talent he wanted to face. Darby Allin will have the daunting task of facing CM Punk in his in-ring return match in Chicago on September 5th.

What will CM Punk have to say to the Milwaukee audience? Will we learn who some of those “old scores” he wants to settle? The possibilities for fresh feuds are truly exciting. Having CM Punk back on a mic will lead to some exciting moments for sure in the weeks to come.

    Jamie Hayter
    vs. Red Velvet

After losing to Britt Baker on the debut episode of AEW Rampage, Red Velvet was quickly attacked by Baker. Kris Statlander came to assist Red Velvet and the tables seemed to finally turn. That is until Jamie Hayter, a long time friend of Baker, made her return to save her friend.

On Wednesday night, Red Velvet can get some revenge on Hayter. Can she overpower her taller and stronger opponent? We know Britt Baker will be watching this match really closely as well.

Malakai Black vs. Brock Anderson (w/Arn Anderson)

Malakai Black made his shocking debut in AEW on July 7. On that debut appearance, he kicked the legendary Arn Anderson. His son, Brock Anderson has now challenged Black to a match on this week’s AEW Dynamite in hopes of getting some revenge.

Brock has had limited match experience in AEW. Malakai Black is coming off a brutal squash match victory over Cody Rhodes. It seems Brock is placing himself in a very dangerous situation on Wednesday night.

    Orange Cassidy vs. Matt Hardy

The Hardy Family Office has set their sights on Orange Cassidy and the rest of the Best Friends in recent weeks. Hardy and his Family Office recently won a huge six man tag team match against Cassidy, Taylor and Yuta. On Wednesday night, Hardy himself will fight Orange Cassidy in a huge singles match.

Can the veteran Hardy handle Cassidy on Wednesday night? Hardy has surely seen a lot in his thirty year career but dealing with Orange is a different equation altogether. Can Matt Hardy handle the laziest man in pro wrestling on AEW Dynamite? It will be fun to find out.

    Varsity Blonds vs. Lucha Brothers
    (AEW
World Tag Team Championship Eliminator Tournament Semifinal)

On last week’s AEW Dynamite, it was announced that a four team tournament would begin to determine the newest number one contender for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. The winner of the mini-tournament will fight the Young Bucks in a Steel Cage for the title at AEW All Out. The stakes couldn’t be higher for this second semifinal.

The Lucha Brothers have had some memorable matches in the past against the Young Bucks. But they haven’t had a shot for the titles in a long, long time. Can they get back on track against the Varsity Blonds on Wednesday night?

The Varsity Blonds have had a lot of success in the tag division. But most of those victories have been on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation. On this massive stage, can they overcome the veteran tag team? It will be fun to find out in this exciting tag team match in Milwaukee.
