Welcome to the latest edition of AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 6/10/20! AEW is now on the Road to Fyter Fest. This year will be a two-night event on July 1st and July 8th. All Elite Wrestling are already doing a really good job of building towards those special events. What will they do in tonight’s show?

    Chris Jericho on Commentary

Is there anything Chris Jericho cannot do? During the AEW Dynamite shows in April, Jericho did an excellent job on commentary with Tony Schiavone. He played the perfect heel but still put over the competitors in the ring. He is now back on this week’s Dynamite.

It will be fun to see him opposite Schiavone again. If you add in additional elements of Jim Ross and Excalibur then it might be more entertaining then the show itself. What will Jericho say or do on Wednesday night?

    Sammy Guevara vs Colt Cabana

Colt Cabana had an excellent match with Chris Jericho last week. Sadly, he lost the match to a Judas effect. Can he get some revenge against Chris Jericho’s protege Sammy Guevara?

Sammy Guevara has had a rough couple of weeks. He has run for his life on numerous occasions. He had a less than successful singing of “Judas”. Who will win when both competitors are in desperate need of a win?

Inner Circle (Jake Hager, Santana & Ortiz) vs Best Friends & Orange Cassidy

These six got involved in the Colt Cabana/Chris Jericho match last week. It set up a unique six-man tag match for this week’s show. The Inner Circle will likely have a lot to prove as they are still trying to recover from the big main event from Double or Nothing?

The Best Friends have been on a real roll. They won their number one contender match at Double or Nothing. They will get a tag team title shot at Fyter Fest. Will the Best Friends be looking ahead to that big opportunity? And more importantly, will Orange Cassidy actually try on Wednesday night?

    TNT Championship
    Cody (c) vs Marq Quen

Cody successfully defended his TNT Championship for the first time in an excellent match against Jungle Boy last week. It is now time for Cody to begin his TNT Championship Open Challenge. It seems he is willing to defend the title every single week. That daunting task starts this week with an unlikely challenger, Marq Quen of Private Party.

Marq Quen has never met Cody in a singles match. In fact, Quen hasn’t been in many singles matches in AEW at all. With so many unknowns, how will Cody be able to prepare for the talented Quen? I just hope this is the beginning of pushing younger talent with a long series of Open Challenges.

FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) vs The Butcher & The Blade

FTR made their long-awaited debut on Dynamite two weeks ago and immediately teased a feud with the Young Bucks.  In an interview last week, they name-dropped a lot of AEW tag teams they wanted to face in the coming weeks. One of those teams was The Butcher & The Blade.

They will get their chance against The Butcher & The Blade in FTR’s in-ring AEW debut. FTR will be looking to impress and show why they are one of the best tag teams in the world. If they look past The Butcher & The Blade, they could be in for some trouble. It will be exciting to see what FTR can do on Wednesday night. I cannot wait.
