It is time for Blood and Guts! The first Blood and Guts Match was originally going to take place on March 25, 2020. As with many things, the Covid-19 Pandemic ruined everything. But finally, after over a year, we finally get a Blood and Guts Match! This first-ever Blood and Guts match will continue the very personal feud between The Inner Circle and the Pinnacle. Let us find out more about this special night in the latest edition of AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 5/5/21.

    Britt Baker In Action

Everyone’s favorite dentist is back in action on AEW Dynamite! Britt Baker has been paying close attention to the AEW Women’s Championship Rankings in recent weeks. As the other contenders fell by the wayside, Baker kept moving up the rankings. She is now the number one contender for the AEW Women’s Championship.

It leads to an obvious question. When will she get her shot against Hikaru Shida? Britt Baker will be fighting on Wednesday night. Will she keep her focus on her opponent, or will she be thinking of a bigger prize?

Kenny Omega & MT Nakazawa vs. Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston

On last week’s Dynamite, Moxley and Kingston finally got some revenge on Kenny Omega. They were prepared to permanently damage Omega with a steel chair. As Don Callis pleaded for Kenny Omega’s safety, Kingston demanded a tag team match against Omega. Kingston will get his wish at AEW Blood and Guts.

What will Moxley and Kingston have in store for Omega and Nakazama? Nakazawa seems like the weakest link of his team. Will the AEW World Champion simply throw him to the wolves? Or will The Elite interfere in this tag team match? We have a lot of questions in this long-lasting storyline.

SoCal Uncensored vs. Jurassic Express vs. Varsity Blondes vs. The Acclaimed
(Future AEW World Tag Team Championship Match)

The stakes are high in this Fatal 4 Way tag team match. The winner of this match will get a shot against the Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team at a future date. Who has the advantage going into Wednesday Night?

The favorite seems to be SoCal Uncensored. They called out the Young Bucks for their disrespect just last week. Can SoCal get one last shot at the tag titles? Three young and hungry teams stand in their way at AEW Blood and Guts.

    Cody Rhodes vs. QT Marshall

After a month-long absence, Cody Rhodes returned to attack QT Marshall last week. Cody attacked Marshall on the top of the Nightmare Express bus that Marshall and The Factory had stolen. Cody gets Marshall in one on one action on Wednesday night.

The Factory has found a way to cheat their way to victory recently. Anthony Ogogo’s punch has beaten multiple members of the Nightmare Family in the last two weeks. Will The Factory continue their dominance over the Nightmare Family? Or will Cody get some revenge over his former friend? This feud just continues to get more personal each and every week.

    Blood and Guts Match

It is finally happening! After a year of waiting, we are finally getting Blood and Guts on May 5th. It seems a fitting place for this brutal feud between The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle. On last week’s show, the two groups had a Parlay to determine the advantage in the match. The Pinnacle will hold the advantage in the match, and Sammy Guevara will be the first Inner Circle member in the ring. Can he hold his own against Pinnacle?

This match has been months in the making. The Pinnacle was founded on MJF’s betrayal of the Inner Circle in early March, and these two groups have been fighting ever since. The match won’t officially start until all ten members have entered the ring. At that point, the only way to win is by making an opponent submit or surrender. In this match, a pinfall will not end the Blood and Guts match. Who knows what brutality will occur until one team gives up? I cannot wait for this match. It has been a long time coming.
