AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 2/8/23
Jamie Hayter vs. The Bunny
(AEW Women’s Championship Eliminator Match)
On last week’s AEW Dynamite, The Bunny demanded a match against AEW Women’s World Champion Jaime Hayter. The Bunny has been a dangerous and capable veteran of the AEW Women’s Division. Can she win a future title shot on Wednesday night?
She faces a distracted Hayter. Hayter has watched as Toni Storm and Saraya have attacked her allies in recent weeks. Will they play a factor on Wednesday night? Jaime Hayter had better be ready for anything on Wednesday night.

MJF vs. Konosuke Takeshita
(AEW Championship Eliminator Match)
At the recent Los Angeles Dynamite, MJF mocked and ridiculed Konosuke Takeshita. Takeshita continued to show his amazing in-ring skills with recent matches against Bryan Danielson and Brian Cage. At 27 years old, Konosuke is one of the brightest young talents in AEW. He will have a chance to prove it in El Paso.
Last week, an irate MJF learned that he would have to face Takeshita in an Eliminator Match. If Takeshita wins, he will get a future World title match against MJF. It is a rare singles match for MJF and he is facing a very dangerous opponent. It could be a show stealer on a loaded card.

The Garcia-Guevara Gauntlet
The Jericho Appreciation Society has become increasingly frustrated with Ricky Starks since his shocking victory over Chris Jericho at the beginning of 2023. While they picked up a tainted victory over Starks in a recent tag match, Jericho seemingly wants another shot against Starks in singles action. That is if Ricky can win a unique match on Wednesday night.
It is time for the Garcia-Guevara Gauntlet. Ricky Starks will have to run the Gauntlet in El Paso. He has to defeat Angelo Parker, Matt Menard and either Daniel Garcia or Sammy Guevara on Wednesday night. He won’t know the final opponent until he gets to it. But the stakes are high. Ricky Starks wants another chance to defeat Chris Jericho. He will get it if he survives the Gauntlet. It is high stakes indeed.

The Acclaimed (c) vs. The Gunns
(AEW World Tag Team Championship)
On last week’s AEW Dynamite, a face off occurred between the Gunns and The Acclaimed. Billy Gunn seemed frustrated by the fighting between the two titles. He then gave his sons what they wanted: a title match against the Acclaimed.
The biggest question going into the title match is what will Billy Gunn do? Will he support the team that calls him “Daddy Ass”? Or will he finally support his two sons yet again? Billy Gunn will likely be the deciding factor in who walks out with the World Tag Team Championship.

The Elite (c) vs. Top Flight & AR Fox
(AEW World Trios Championship)
The Elite finally returned to action last Friday winning a Trios match on AEW Rampage. After the grueling Best of Seven series, will they be recovered enough to defend their newly won AEW World Trios Championship? They will face quite the challenge in El Paso.
On a recent AEW Dynamite, Top Flight defeated the Young Bucks in tag team action. Can they carry that momentum into Wednesday night? We know it will certainly be a fast paced match-up with six truly talented competitors. It will be interesting to see if the Elite is truly ready for a physical match yet again.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 2/8/23
Bryan Danielson vs. RUSH
It is time for match five in Danielson’s month-long series of matches. If Bryan can keep winning until February 8th then he will get an opportunity for the AEW World Championship against MJF at AEW Revolution. The final match will prove quite the challenge after a grueling series of matches.
Danielson will be facing the truly talented RUSH. RUSH is coming off a huge main event win of AEW Rampage. He has proven himself a decorated competitor over the years. Can Danielson pull off the fifth and final win after a grueling five straight weeks of wrestling? It will be fun to find out on Wednesday night.
What To Expect:
- Will we hear from Wardlow after his shocking return last week?
- What will Toni Storm and Saraya do next?
- What is next in the feud between Jon Moxley and Hangman Page?
