The Road to AEW Revolution is officially on as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 2/7/24! The AEW Dynamite crowd is in for a real treat on Wednesday night.

We have a World Tag Team Championship match, a big announcement, and a Number One Contender’s Match for the AEW World Champion between two bitter rivals.

It has all the makings of a special night at the Footprint Center. Let us find out more about this massive card in Phoenix in the latest edition of AEW Dynamite IGNITE.

Tony Khan Will Make A Big Announcement

It is time for one of Tony Khan’s favorite things. It is time for an announcement! Say what you will about the announcements, but they usually deliver.

Khan has called this a “big announcement”. What could it be? Is it a new signing? Is it a new pay-per-view announcement? Is it a television deal? Here is hoping it leads to an exciting 2024 for All Elite Wrestling.

Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, and Claudio Castagnoli vs. Volador Jr., Mascara Dorada, and Hechicero

The battle between wrestlers of CMLL and the Blackpool Combat Club heats up in Phoenix on Wednesday night. Last week on AEW Dynamite, CMLL wrestlers attacked Jon Moxley.

On AEW Collision, Bryan Danielson won an epic match against CMLL’s Hechicero. Hechicero proceeded to attack Danielson post-match.

On this week’s AEW Dynamite, we will have a Trios match. CMLL wrestlers are certainly familiar with Trios matches. Will this play a factor on Wednesday night? It will be a battle in this quickly heated feud.

    Toni Storm vs. Red Velvet

The “Timeless” Toni Storm will be in action on Wednesday night. She has certainly been distracted by Deonna Purrazzo in recent weeks. They will have a AEW Women’s World Championship match at AEW Revolution.

Enter Red Velvet. She won a big match on AEW Collision. She will get a future AEW Women’s Championship match if she defeats Storm on Wednesday night. And with Purrazzo on commentary, can Storm focus on her match in Phoenix?

    Konosuke Takeshita vs. Chris Jericho

The long-lasting feud between Chris Jericho and the Don Callis family continues on AEW Dynamite. On last week’s show, Jericho defeated Kyle Fletcher. This set up a match between Konosuke Takeshita and Jericho on this week’s show.

Konosuke certainly has a reputation as a “giant killer”. He defeated Kenny Omega at two pay-per-views last year. Can he defeat Jericho in Phoenix? We know Don Callis won’t stop bragging about it if Takeshita can pull it off on Wednesday night.

    (AEW World Tag Team Championship)
Ricky Starks & Big Bill (c) Sting & Darby Allin

We are less than one month away from Sting’s retirement match at AEW Revolution. Will he enter that match with AEW gold? He has that chance on Wednesday night.

Sting & Darby Allin are undefeated as a tag team. They are facing their biggest test in Phoenix against the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Ricky Starks & Big Bill.

They have dominated the tag division since winning the title on October 7, 2023. It could be a special night for Sting in Phoenix if they can pull off one more huge victory.

(Winner Gets A Shot at the AEW World Championship at AEW Revolution)
    Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Page

The most personal feud in AEW continues on Wednesday night. Swerve Strickland defeated Hangman Page at WrestleDream and a very bloody match at AEW Full Gear. What will happen in Match Three in Phoenix?

The stakes are quite high. The winner will face Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship at AEW Revolution. We have seen what Strickland and Page have done to each other in previous matches. What could they possibly do to each other with such high stakes on Wednesday night?

    What To Expect:

    • Will we learn more about Sting’s final match?
    • Will we learn about more matches for AEW Revolution?
    • What is next for TNT Champion Christian Cage?
