Exploding Barb Wire Death Match? After an exciting six-man tag team main event last week, Kenny Omega attacked Jon Moxley yet again. This time he announced he would face Moxley in an AEW World Title Championship match at the upcoming AEW Revolution pay-per-view. It was certainly a surprise to see an Exploding Barb Wire Death Match as the stipulation in 2021. Is it FMW in the 1990s? Let us see what they have in store for us in this week’s AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 2/24/21.

    Jake Hager vs. Brandon Cutler

Jake Hager and Brandon Cutler came to blows at the end of the AEW Tag Team Championship match last week. Hager got the better of that exchange last week. Will it change this week?

Brandon Cutler hasn’t had a match on AEW Dynamite since July of 2020. He has gone on a hot streak on AEW Dark in recent months. Can he use that momentum against a very dangerous Hager? It is hard to say, but the Inner Circle turmoil might have an effect on Hager’s mindset going into this match.

    Jon Moxley vs. Ryan Nemeth

It seems Ryan Nemeth’s lot in life is to suffer. After losing to Hangman Page and Pac in his first two Dynamite appearances, he will get a third shot for glory on AEW Dynamite this Wednesday night. Unfortunately for him, this latest chance is against Jon Moxley.

Jon Moxley is likely not in the best of moods. He was attacked yet again by Kenny Omega after last week’s main event. With an Exploding Barb Wire Death Match on his mind, what pain will Moxley have in store for Nemeth? It wouldn’t be pretty for sure.

    Nyla Rose vs. Britt Baker
(AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament Semifinal USA Bracket )

The AEW Women’s Eliminator Tournament has been a lot of fun to watch on Youtube and AEW Dynamite. This week’s tournament match will be a big one. We have Nyla Rose going against Britt Baker to reach the USA Bracket final. The stakes are quite high.

Nyla Rose is looking to get back into the Women’s World Championship hunt. She has had a lot of chances at Hikaru Shida in the past year. Can she get one more shot at AEW Revolution?

Britt Baker has been one of the most entertaining parts of the AEW Women’s Division in recent months. She hasn’t been able to translate her great character work into a lot of in-ring success. Can she defeat “The Native Beast” and get a shot at her first AEW Women’s World Championship? The clock is ticking for Britt Baker to truly breakthrough in the AEW Women’s Division.

Ricky Starks/Brian Cage vs. The Varsity Blonds

Ricky Starks and Brian Cage have been on the warpath in recent weeks. They literally drug away Darby Allin two weeks ago and landed a vicious powerbomb on Sting last week. It is time for Team Taz to be back in tag team action this week.

The Varsity Blonds are talented but face a tough test against the dangerous Team Taz. Will this serve as a quick warm-up for Starks and Cage? And will Sting and Darby Allin make their presence known before the huge Street Fight at AEW Revolution? Watch this match very carefully. It could be very explosive.

    Hangman Page vs. Isiah Kassidy

Matt Hardy got a big surprise last week after his tag team match. He thought that he had successfully signed Hangman Page to a contract that would have gotten Hardy 30% of Page’s future earnings. But he didn’t know what Hangman Page had in store for him.

As the Jacksonville Jaguar mascot came out, Page explained he switched the contracts. He would have a match against Matt Hardy at AEW Revolution, and if Page won, he would get all of Hardy’s first-quarter earnings. Hardy was able to get Page to agree to put up his 1st quarter earnings as well. Is this the first-ever “First Quarter Earnings” match?

It turned out Hardy has something up his sleeve too. The Jaguar mascot was actually Isiah Kassidy in disguise, and they attacked both Page. As the Revolution match looms, Hangman Page can get some revenge on Kassidy this Wednesday night. What role will Matt Hardy play in the singles match?

    Lance Archer vs Rey Fenix
(Face of the Revolution Ladder Match Qualifier)

It seems the friendship of Lance Archer and Rey Fenix didn’t last very long. They worked together to win the six-man tag team main event last week. This week they have a big prize on the line as they face each other. The winner can become the TNT Champion.

The “Face of the Revolution” Ladder match will have six competitors competing against each for a future TNT Championship match. Cody Rhodes, Scorpio Sky, and Penta El Zero Miedo are already in the match. Lance Archer will face Rey Fenix on Wednesday night for the fourth spot. It will certainly be a real contrast of styles. Can the high flying style of Fenix overcome the power of Lance Archer? It is hard to say, but it will be a lot of fun for AEW fans.
