It is time for the Holiday Bash as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 12/21/22! For the third straight year, All Elite Wrestling will bring back the Holiday Bash special edition of AEW Dynamite. We have FTR in tag team action. Holiday Bash has an AEW Women’s World Championship match.

It is finally time for Match Five of the AEW World Trios Championship Best of 7 Series as well.  Let us find out more about this fun show in San Antonio in the latest edition of AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 12/21/22.

    Ricky Starks Will Appear Live

At last week’s Winter is Coming show, Ricky Starks had a competitive sixteen-minute match against MJF for the AEW World Championship. It all came to a sudden end when MJF hit a low blow to pick up the cheap victory. It was a heartbreaking loss for the talented Starks.

On this week’s Holiday Bash, Ricky Starks will appear live. What will he have to say? After coming so close to winning the AEW Championship, the future seems bright for this talented wrestler.

    We’ll Hear From Bryan Danielson

After the main event last week, Bryan Danielson returned to AEW Dynamite and chased MJF into the crowd. It was quite a sight seeing the AEW World Champion running from a fight. Hopefully, we will see these two fight in the ring in the very near future.

At Holiday Bash, we will hear from Bryan Danielson. What is he thinking after the brutal attack on William Regal a few weeks ago? What will he do when he finally gets his hands on the World Champion? It should be interesting to hear what is next in this very personal feud.

Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland Face-to-Face Meeting

It has been a rough couple of weeks for the former AEW World Tag Team Champions. At AEW Full Gear, Keith Lee walked out on Swerve Strickland, costing them a chance to regain the Tag titles. At ROH Final Battle, a lot of miscommunication occurred between Lee and Strickland. This caused Swerve to walk out on his partner. Lee was still able to pull off the victory without any help.

At AEW Dynamite, it is time for a face-to-face meeting. What will the two partners have to say to each other? Is this the end of a very successful tag team? It would be a tough ending to a great team if it is truly the end.

    FTR vs. The Gunns

This match has been weeks in the making. The Gunns have mocked FTR relentlessly. At ROH Final Battle, they even attempted to attack FTR after their heartbreaking loss in the brutal Double Dog Collar Match. Thankfully on that night, the Briscoes stopped the post-match attack.

On Wednesday night FTR will finally get their hands on the Gunns. But has FTR fully recovered mentally and physically from ROH Final Battle? If FTR aren’t ready, the Gunns could pull off the huge upset.

    Death Triangle (c)
    vs. The Elite
(AEW World Trios Championship Best of 7 Series: Match Five No DQ Match)

The Elite are in do or die mode now. At last week’s match, Death Triangle cheated yet again to pick up the victory. They are up 3-1 in the Best of 7 Series. What can The Elite do to turn the tide?

After last week’s match, Kenny Omega made a proposal. Since Death Triangle likes to cheat so much, why not make Match Five a No Disqualification Match? This match type seems to fit right into Death Triangle’s hands.  But since the Elite can use weapons legally now it could be a brutal momentum swing at Holiday Bash.

Jamie Hayter (c) vs. Hikaru Shida
    (AEW Women’s World Championship)

Jaime Hayter won the AEW Women’s World Championship for the very first time at AEW Full Gear. We haven’t seen a lot of Jaime Hayter in the ring since that victory. That changes in a big way at Holiday Bash.

Hayter will defend her title against Hikaru Shida, the former AEW Women’s World Championship. Hayter has never had a lot of success against Shida. She has lost multiple tag team matches to her in AEW over the past few months. Can that change on Wednesday night? If it doesn’t, we could have a new champion.

    What To Expect:

    • What will Chris Jericho have to say about his shocking loss?
    • What is next for Jon Moxley and Hangman Page?
    • Will we learn about any matches for New Year’s Smash?
