Winter is Coming to All Elite Wrestling yet again as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 12/11/24! For the fifth straight year, the special episode of Dynamite is back under the “Winter is Coming” theme. And much like previous years, the card is a loaded one.

We have two huge matches in the Continental Classic. We will see a huge match for a shot at MJF. And we will even see a AEW Women’s World Championship match between two former friends.  Let us learn more about this special card in Kansas City in the latest edition of AEW Ignite.

    Death Riders (
Jon Moxley and Pac) vs. Orange Cassidy and Jay White

On last week’s AEW Dynamite, Jay White defeated Pac in a huge singles match. Wheeler Yuta attempted to cheat but was unsuccessful. The Death Riders had finally lost a big match to “The Switchblade”.

After the match, the Death Riders tried to attack White yet again. That is until Hangman Page and Orange Cassidy came to the rescue. It was a rare victory for the good guys on Wednesday night.

On this week’s “Winter is Coming” show, it is time for a huge tag team match. Orange Cassidy will join Jay White in a new tag team. Can they defeat the more experienced team of Jon Moxley and Pac? It is another battle in a huge war for the soul of AEW.

    Brody King vs. Ricochet
    (Continental Classic Gold League)

It is a huge match in the Gold League at Winter is Coming! Brody King and Ricochet each have three points heading into Wednesday night. Who will gain the valuable three points and get one step closer to the League Finals match at AEW Worlds End?

Brody King defeated his old rival Darby Allin but followed it up with a heartbreaking loss to Claudio Castagnoli. Ricochet began the tournament by also losing to Claudio Castagnoli but followed that up with a victory over Komander. It will certainly be a clash of styles between King and Ricochet. The stakes are certainly high.

    Claudio Castagnoli vs. Will Ospreay
    (Continental Classic Gold League)

Claudio Castagnoli is sure on a roll in the Continental Classic. He has already picked up six points after defeating Ricochet and Brody King in his first two matches. If he can pick up another victory at Winter is Coming, he might just punch his ticket to the League Finals at Worlds End.

However, Claudio faces a huge challenge on Wednesday night. Will Ospreay will be facing off with Castagnoli in Kansas City. Can Ospreay pick up his second victory in the Gold League? It should be a huge match in an already wonderful tournament.

    Adam Cole vs. Kyle O’Reilly
(Winner Challenges MJF for Dynamite Diamond Ring)

On last week’s AEW Dynamite, Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly were part of a Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal. As the final two survivors, they will face off this week. The winner at Winter is Coming will go on to face MJF for the Dynamite Diamond Ring at Worlds End.

Adam Cole has wanted a shot at MJF since returning at AEW WrestleDream. He fell short of a match with MJF going into AEW Full Gear. Can he get it done against a long-time friend in Kyle O’Reilly? We know these two have had many great matches against each other over the years. Can they give us another at Winter is Coming?

Mariah May (c) vs. Mina Shirakawa
    (AEW Women’s World Championship
    )

Two former friends will face off against each for the AEW Women’s World Championship in Kansas City. Mina Shirakawa will finally get her hands on her former friend the AEW Women’s World Champion, Mariah May. It was a shocking betrayal at AEW Full Gear that led to this personal fight.

Mina and Mariah were long-time friends in Stardom. They even won the Goddesses of Stardom Championship together in 2023. As May moved over to AEW, Mina Shirakawa followed her over to continue their partnership. That is until Full Gear.

What will happen when two former friends face each other? Mina will surely be ready for everything Mariah can throw at her. But will May have even more tricks under her sleeve to keep her precious title? We will find out very soon.

    What To Expect:

    • Will Mercedes Mone and Anna Jay face off before Holiday Bash?
    • Will Julia Hart continue her mind games with Jamie Hayter?
    • Will we learn any other matches for AEW Worlds End?
