    AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 1/5/22 | (Page vs. Danielson II)

    It is time for the first show of the TBS era of AEW Dynamite as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 1/5/22. And what a stacked card they have planned us on Wednesday night. This week’s card features three championship matches, and one of those will be Page vs Danielson II. It will be a great start to 2022. Let us find out more about the huge show in Newark in the latest edition of AEW Ignite.

    AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 1/5/22
    MJF in Action

    MJF is coming off a huge loss in a recent six-man tag team match. He has vowed to move on from his feud with CM Punk this Wednesday night. History tells us that he will pick an opponent he will be able to defeat easily on AEW Dynamite. The bigger question is will CM Punk get involved on Wednesday night?

    Malakai Black vs. Brian Pillman Jr.

    On a recent episode of AEW Dynamite, Malakai Black quickly dispatched Griff Garrison. But winning wasn’t enough for Black as he held his submission on Garrison after the match had ended. Pillman tried to make the save but took a spin kick for his troubles.

    Pillman will get his chance for revenge against Malaki Black on Wednesday night. Can Pillman last longer than the three minutes Garrison lasted just two weeks ago? And Black has teased the arrival of the House of Black in recent days. Does this mean Malaki Black will become even more dangerous? That is a truly scary thought.

    Lucha Brothers vs. Jurassic Express

    Jurassic Express has come so close to winning the AEW World Tag Team Championship on multiple occasions over the past two years. With Christian Cage’s guidance,  they seem truly prepared to finally break through on Wednesday night. They just need to defeat the Lucha Brothers first. 

    With these two teams involved, we can expect a fast-paced tag team match. Will Jungle Boy finally break through and win his first AEW Championship? The AEW crowd is just aching to celebrate that huge moment.

    Jade Cargill vs. Ruby Soho

    The AEW TBS Women’s Championship tournament reaches its epic finale. It started on October 23rd, 2021 with a twelve-woman field. It ends on January 5th, 2022, with the huge final between Jade Cargill and Ruby Soho. We will finally have the first-ever AEW TBS Women’s Champion crowned on this very first edition of AEW Dynamite on TBS.

    Ruby Soho seems to be a huge underdog in this match. She is the only competitor to have wrestled four matches in the tournament and seemed to be favoring her shoulder after a brutal semifinal against Nyla Rose. If you add in the fact she is facing an undefeated Jade Cargill in the final?  It seems like some very long odds for the veteran Soho on Wednesday night.

    Hangman Page vs. Bryan Danielson

    At AEW Winter is Coming, Hangman Page and Bryan Danielson put on the longest match in AEW history. For sixty epic minutes, Page and Danielson put on a mat classic, filled with a lot of brutal physical action. Near the end of the match, Page hit the Buckshot Lariat and seemed moments away from winning the match before the time limit was reached. On the very first AEW Dynamite of 2022, we will see the epic rematch for the AEW World Championship. 

    The good news is we will not see another time limit draw. If this rematch goes to the sixty minutes time limit, we will go to a judge’s decision. Who are the judges? We don’t currently know that answer. But we do know that we are in for another epic AEW World Championship match and with a true winner this time. The TBS era of AEW Dynamite seems off to a great start.

    • Who will Adam Cole side with: The Young Bucks or reDRagon? 
    • What is next for CM Punk?
    • Will we learn more about Battle of the Belts on January 8th?
