What will happen on the Road to Grand Slam Australia as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 1/29/25? We are only a few weeks from two major shows: February’s Grand Slam Australia and March’s AEW Revolution.
What will happen on this week’s AEW Dynamite? We have a huge match for Will Ospreay, a possible World Title shot for a wrestling legend and a TBS Championship match. Let us learn more about this fun night in Huntsville in the latest edition of AEW Ignite.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 1/29/25
Will Ospreay vs. Brian Cage
Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega aren’t really getting along these days. But they both have a common opponent these days, the Don Callis Family. On last week’s Dynamite, the Family tried to attack Ospreay and Omega yet again but failed.
After the match, Ospreay and Omega challenged Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita to a huge tag match at Grand Slam Australia.
But before we get to Brisbane, Ospreay will face off with another member of the Don Callis Family, Brian Cage. Cage gave Kenny Omega quite a challenge at Maximum Carnage two weeks ago.
Can he pull off the upset over Ospreay in Huntsville? And will the Don Callis Family interfere yet again? It should be quite the match on Wednesday night.

Jeff Jarrett vs. Claudio Castagnoli
(Jarrett Gets A World Title Shot With Win)
Jeff Jarrett wants the AEW World Championship. The 57-year-old legend has signed his final contract. He also wants to win the AEW World Championship before retiring. He could get one step closer on Wednesday night.
On last week’s show, Jarrett called out Moxley. He was surprised by Claudio Castagnoli and with an uppercut instead.
As Jarrett recovered, he demanded a match with Castagnoli for this week’s Dynamite. But he also got a stipulation added to their match.
If Jeff Jarrett wins this week, he will receive a future AEW World Title shot against Jon Moxley. Claudio Castagnoli would like nothing better than to punish Jarrett on behalf of the Death Riders on Wednesday night.
Who will pick up the huge victory in Huntsville? And can Jarrett get one step closer to his dream?

Mercedes Moné vs. Yuka Sakazaki
(TBS Championship)
Mercedes Moné is riding high these days. She is the holder of four singles titles. Moné picked up the Undisputed British Women’s Championship at Wrestle Dynasty.
This is in addition to already holding the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship and the AEW TBS Championship. Can Moné possibly be stopped?
Enter Yuka Sakazki. Sakazki defeated Deonna Purrazzo, Queen Aminata and Serena Deeb in a 4 Way Match on AEW Collision to earn a TBS Championship title shot on Wednesday night. Can she possibly pull off the huge upset?
Yuka Sakazki is undefeated in 2025. She has won matches in AEW, TJPW and NJPW. Can she ride that success to her biggest victory ever?
Moné better not overlook this dangerous opponent on Wednesday night. If she does, she could lose one of her titles in Huntsville.
What To Expect:
- Will we hear more from “Timeless” Toni Storm?
- What is next for RatedFTR?
- Will we learn if any other matches for Grand Slam Australia are coming up?
