This Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite is sure to feature some carnage as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 1/15/25. Or should we say “Maximum Carnage”?
AEW Maximum Carnage is a special two night card for All Elite Wrestling. This week’s Dynamite card is loaded wit big matches.
We have a Women’s Casino Gauntlet match, a huge Trios match and even an AEW World Championship match as well. Let us learn more about this loaded card from Cincinnati, Ohio in the latest edition of AEW Ignite.

Women’s Casino Gauntlet
It is time for a second Casino Gauntlet match in two weeks! And it will be a historic first ever Women’s Casino Gauntlet.
Since it’s inaugural outing, the Casino Gauntlet match has become known one of the most chaotic match types AEW has to offer.
In the Casino Gauntlet, we never know how many competitors will appear in the match itself. It is a race to get a pinfall and submission before even more wrestlers arrive.
For this Women’s Casino Gauntlet, the stakes are pretty high. The winner of the match will get a title shot on February 15 at Grand Slam Australia for Mariah May’s AEW Women’s World Championship.
We know Kris Statlander will enter as the first competitor. Who else will try to win the title shot in this incredible opportunity?

Private Party & Mark Briscoe vs. The Hurt Syndicate
On last week’s AEW Dynamite, The Hurt Syndicate seemed to set their sights on the AEW World Tag Team Championships Private Party.
It certainly wasn’t what anyone would have expected for The Hurt Syndicate, but who’s going to stop such a powerful alliance?
After Mark Briscoe lost to Bobby Lashley last week, Shelton Benjamin attacked Briscoe post-match.
That was until the Private Party arrived for the save. It seems the feud for the Tag Team titles was truly beginning.
On this week’s Maximum Carnage, will see a Trios Match between the two factions. In a surprise, we will see MVP as part of the match as well.
It will be MVP’s first match in AEW. Will The Hurt Syndicate’s dominance continue in Cincinnati?

Christian Cage vs. Hook
This is a feud months in the making!
This past October, Taz was attacked by an unknown wrestler. It was revealed a few weeks later that Christian Cage was the person responsible for Taz’s vicious attack.
Rising AEW star Hook has looked for revenge on his father’s assailant ever since that fateful night.
At Maximum Carnage, Hook has a chance to finally get his hands on Cage. But will he? Nick Wayne, Kip Sabian, and Killswitch will stop at nothing to protect their leader. Can Hook possibly overcome the odds and get his revenge?

Brian Cage vs. Kenny Omega
On last week’s AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega made his triumphant return after over a year of absence. He gave a heartfelt speech about all he went through in 2024.
His diverticulitis was certainly life-threatening. It is amazing to see him in the ring again in 2025.
It was a touching moment until the dastardly Don Callis arrived to ruin the celebration.
The Don Callis Family attacked Kenny Omega on his night. If it wasn’t for Will Ospreay, Omega’s comeback might have ended on night one.
At Maximum Carnage, Kenny Omega will face The Don Callis Family’s muscle, Brian Cage. This will be Omega’s first AEW match since December 5, 2023.
Can he defeat the dangerous Brian Cage? It will be great to see Kenny Omega play his trade again in the All Elite ring.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 1/15/25
Jon Moxley (c) vs. Powerhouse Hobbs
(AEW World Championship)
Last week, eleven men entered the Casino Gauntlet match. However, only one man, Powerhouse Hobbs, won by pinfall over Kyle O’Reilly.
It was certainly a surprise to see Hobbs overcome the odds and get the title shot at Maximum Carnage.
Later on that same Dynamite and on Saturday’s AEW Collison, Powerhouse Hobbs successfully, and single-handedly, ran off the entire Death Riders stable.
It seems that they are afraid of the danger Hobbs presents. Can he be the one to end Moxley’s Reign of Terror? Let us hope for an excellent World Title match in Moxley’s hometown.
What To Expect:
- Will we hear from Cope?
- What is next for Daniel Garcia and the TNT Championship?
- Will we learn any other matches for AEW Collision?
