As we get closer to the huge AEW Grand Slam show, it is time for another exciting episode of AEW Dynamite as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 09/13/23. This card has some interesting promos, an AEW International Championship match, a huge 4-Way Eliminator match, and the finals in the Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament.  Let us find out more about this major card in Cincinnati in the latest edition of AEW Ignite.

Don Callis Reveals His Next Masterpiece

It was a shocking moment when Konosuke Takeshita defeated Kenny Omega after an epic match at AEW All Out. We had to wonder what was next for Don Callis and Takeshita after that massive victory. The wait is over on this week’s AEW Dynamite.

Don Callis will “reveal his next masterpiece” in Cincinnati. What exactly that means is anyone’s guess. Will we learn about another wrestler joining Callis’ family? Will they mock Omega? It should be interesting to see what is next for one of AEW’s most hated people.

We’ll Hear From Le Sex Gods

On last week’s AEW Dynamite, Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho defeated Aussie Open to pick up a huge tag team victory. But Jericho hit Guevara accidentally during the match. Sammy didn’t appreciate it, and it led to a shoving match between the teammates after the victory.

The two have agreed to fight at AEW Grand Slam next week. Before this huge match, they will both speak on this week’s AEW Dynamite. What will Jericho and Guevara have to say? It is a very personal feud for sure.

    Hangman Page vs. Brian Cage

On last week’s AEW Dynamite, Hangman Page was interrupted and insulted by Swerve Strickland. As Page looked to confront Strickland after a series of insults, he was attacked from behind by Mogul Embassy member Brian Cage. It seems a new feud between Strickland and Page has begun.

Brian Cage and Hangman Page have faced off on two previous occasions in All Elite Wrestling. Cage defeated Page on an April 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite. Hangman got his revenge at AEW Double or Nothing 2021. It has been two years since they have faced off in the ring. Who will win the rubber match in Cincinnati?

Jon Moxley (c) vs. Big Bill
    (AEW International Championship)

Jon Moxley has certainly been a fighting champion since winning the AEW International Championship at AEW All Out. He has already defended it against AR Fox and Action Andretti. Moxley tried to help Bryan Danielson on AEW Collision but was attacked by Big Bill on Saturday night. It seems Moxley is ready for revenge.

In his hometown of Cincinnati, Moxley will defeat the AEW International Championship against Big Bill. It is literally the largest challenge Moxley has faced. Can he handle Big Bill? And will Bill’s ally, Ricky Starks be too far behind. It is certainly a daunting challenge.

Britt Baker vs. Hikaru Shida vs. Nyla Rose vs. Toni Storm
(Grand Slam Women’s Championship 4-Way Eliminator)

Saraya will be defending her AEW Women’s World Championship at Grand Slam. Her opponent will be determined on this week’s AEW Dynamite. The problem for Saraya is the four possible competitors are all former Women’s World Champions.

Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, Nyla Rose and Toni Storm will face off in a 4-Way Eliminator match. The winner will get a shot at Saraya at the huge AEW Grand Slam show. A lot of the competitors have past issues with Saraya. Will one of them get a chance at her in New York?

    Samoa Joe vs. Roderick Strong
(Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament Final)

The eight-man Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament tournament ends this week on AEW Dynamite. Both Roderick Strong and Samoa Joe have real issues with AEW World Champion MJF. Which one will get a chance to fight at AEW Grand Slam?

Samoa Joe has been destroying his opponents in record time recently. Roderick Strong has overcome his devastating neck injury to get to this final. Which one of these talented wrestlers can pull off a victory on Wednesday night? It should be another great main event in AEW.

    What To Expect:

    • Will we hear from MJF before his huge title match?
    • Will we hear from Jade Cargill after her shocking return?
    • What is next for Orange Cassidy?
