AEW has certainly been building a lot of fresh feuds in recent weeks as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 04/12/23. Let us find out more about this interesting card in Milwaukee in the latest edition of AEW Dynamit IGNITE.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 04/12/23
Powerhouse Hobbs (c) vs. Silas Young
(AEW TNT Championship)
You certainly cannot deny Powerhouse Hobbs has been a fighting champion since winning the TNT Championship in early March. He has defended the title against Rey Fenix, Penta El Zero Miedo and Christopher Daniels. Hobbs will be facing an interesting hometown hero on Wednesday night.
Milwaukee’s own Silas Young will challenge Hobbs on AEW Dynamite. Young is a former ROH Television Champion. Can he add the TNT Championship to his impressive resume in front of his hometown fans?
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 04/12/23
Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Brandon Cutler & Michael Nakazawa
The Blackpool Combat Club has been wreaking havoc on The Elite and Hangman Page for weeks now. It came to a shocking conclusion last week as the BCC attacked Page with a screwdriver. What will the vicious group do next?
Moxley and Castagnoli will face off against Brandon Cutler and Michael Nakazawa in tag team action. While Cutler and Nakazawa are allies of the Elite, they aren’t exactly the most successful wrestlers these days. Can they possibly survive the vicious attacks of the Blackpool Combat Club? The outlook is not great.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 04/12/23
Riho & Skye Blue vs. Toni Storm & Ruby Soho
The Outcasts have been wreaking havoc on the AEW Women’s Division in recent weeks. Storm, Soho and Saraya are looking for any opportunity to take out the “homegrown talent” of AEW. They have another chance on Wednesday night.
Riho and Skye Blue have faced the wrath of The Outcasts in recent weeks. Can they get some revenge? No one seems to have been able to do so in recent weeks. Skye Blue and Riho will need to watch out for the clear numbers advantage of the Outcasts in Milwaukee.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 04/12/23
Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Buddy Matthews
(AEW International Championship)
Orange Cassidy remains the most active champion in all of AEW. After a successful defense at the Battle of the Belts against Dralístico, he is right back to work. It is a dangerous challenge for Cassidy on AEW Dynamite.
Buddy Matthews of the House of Black will be a formidable challenge. The House of Black is coming off a Trios Victory over the Best Friends and Orange Cassidy just last week. Can Matthews carry that momentum against a worn-down Cassidy? This seems like one of the biggest challenges to Cassidy’s impressive reign yet.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 04/12/23
Swerve Strickland vs. Darby Allin
On last week’s AEW Rampage, Strickland promised a big announcement. He delivered on that announcement after Darby Allin’s match. Brian Cage and Strickland would attack Allin after his victory. It seemed that The Mogul Affiliates and The Embassy were joining forces.
Darby Allin and Swerve Strickland have a long rivalry that dates back to their Pacific Northwest roots. If it’s a fair match, it could be a show stealer. But with the new merger, what are the odds this will be a fair fight? Allin must be ready for anything in this personal match-up.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 04/12/23
Keith Lee vs. Chris Jericho
During an interview last week, Jericho shared he didn’t appreciate the disrespect Adam Cole showed Daniel Garcia after Cole’s victory. It was at this point in the interview that Keith Lee arrived. He told Jericho he could teach him about respect on next week’s AEW Dynamite.
This is certainly a new and exciting match-up in All Elite Wrestling. Can Jericho overcome the unique challenge that is Keith Lee? He better not be looking past Lee to Adam Cole on Wednesday night. Otherwise, we could be looking at one of the biggest victories in Keith Lee’s AEW career.
What Else To Expect:
- What is next for the new AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR?
- What will MJF have to say?
- When will we see Adam Cole back in the ring again?
