It is that wonderful time of year as we preview AEW Blood and Guts 2025. The leaves are falling. The smell of pumpkin pies in the air. It must be time for AEW Blood and Guts!
For this annual show, we will have not one but two “Blood and Guts” matches. In an All Elite Wrestling first, the women’s division will have a 6-on-6 cage match of their own.
On top of that, we will see what could be the climactic finale in the feud between Darby Allin and the Death Riders. And finally, a Falls Count Anywhere Match with the AEW World Champion in action. It should be a great night.

Hangman Adam Page vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

On last week’s Dynamite, The Opps defended their AEW Trios Championship against Hangman Adam Page, Eddie Kingston and Hook.
It ended with Powerhouse Hobbs slamming Hangman Page through a table and then picking up the victory over Hook. After that, Hobbs and the rest of The Opps stood victorious to end the show.
At Blood & Guts, Hangman Page will be facing off against Powerhouse Hobbs in a Falls Count Anywhere match. With only ten days until Full Gear, this is a dangerous match-up for Page. A match with a man like Hobbs could put his championship defense in jeopardy.
We know Samoa Joe will be watching this closely. He has another AEW World Championship match against Page at AEW Full Gear. Will he actually interfere with the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation on Wednesday night? The odds seem likely.

The feud between The Conglomeration/Darby Allin and the Death Riders reached its zenith on Wednesday night. It is time for another Blood and Guts match. What will happen in this year’s brutal match?
We know Darby Allin is willing to do anything to defeat the Death Riders. He helped cost Jon Moxley the AEW World Championship at AEW All In. He defeated Moxley in a “I Quit Match” at WrestleDream. What insane thing could Darby do in Blood and Guts?
The Death Riders are at a crossroads. Moxley has lost a lot of his power as a strong leader after quitting at WrestleDream.
He needs a victory at Blood and Guts to get back his momentum. What violence will he and the rest of the Death Riders unleash on Wednesday night? It is best to not think about it.

On the September 27th edition of Collision, Jamie Hayter had enough. She was sick of the attacks by the Triangle of Madness. And so it was that Jamie Hayter demanded a match. A historic match. The first Women’s Blood and Guts would finally happen.
This match is filled with storylines to watch. Mercedes Moné will face Kris Statlander at AEW Full Gear for the AEW Women’s World Championship. Who will gain the early advantage at Blood and Guts?
The Sisters of Sin (Skye Blue and Julia Hart) have a future Women’s Tag Team tournament match against Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron).
Who can damage the other team before their massive semifinal match-up? We know the Triangle of Madness will always look to get ahead.
But this match’s biggest storyline is Jaime Hayter and Thekla. Hayter was taken out of action for months during Thekla’s debut. She returned the favor defeating Thekla at WrestleDream. Can Hayter pick up the massive victory in the match she wanted? It will be a historic night for sure.
