In this week’s preview for the ROH TV episode for 8/7/21, a number of meaningful matches are slated to take place. As the first round of the ROH Women’s Championship tournament continues, two matches are booked. Quinn McKay seeks to make the most of this tournament opportunity. Unfortunately, standing before her is the woman that almost cost her this chance, in Mandy Leon. The second of two first-round matches on the night involve Marti Belle and Trish Adora. These two veterans are sure to put on an impressive matchup leading into the quarterfinals.
Finally, VLNCE UNLTD is set to square off against Ring of Honor Champion Bandido and his long-time partner Rey Horus. So who among those scheduled to compete on this show are sure to leave the greatest impact? Here is this week’s ROH TV preview for the 8/7/21 edition.

Mandy Leon vs. Quinn McKay
In what appeared to have been a do-or-die opportunity for Quinn McKay turned out not to be. At a time where the referee’s decision is often final, Quinn McKay was voted in by the fans in an online poll. In a staggering 95% approval by fans, McKay would enter the tournament ROH Women’s Championship Tournament. But, as it would turn out, the person who appeared to have cost Quinn her chance at even being in the tournament would ultimately be her first-round opponent.
A professional of only 3 years, McKay’s time out of the ring in ROH is far more notable than it is inside of it. However, much like McKay, Leon’s career in ROH also began as that of an interviewer and backstage reporter. It will be interesting to see what both of these women will attempt in their desire to advance in this tournament.
Bandido and Rey Horus vs. Brody King and Chris Dickinson
An exciting tag team match is slated this week. Current Ring of Honor Champion, Bandido, and Horus face Brody King and Chris Dickinson. The challenge here is that while there may be two distinct sides, only one man has a bullseye on him. While Bandido will walk in and out of this match as champion, it doesn’t mean seeds will be planted for injuring the champion. Dickinson and King are likely to do the most damage. Bandido will need to lean on the support from his partner Horus to succeed. King’s ranking and potentially what Dickinson could do to Bandido also runs the risk of not defending his title against Flip Gordon at Glory of Honor night one.
A future championship opportunity could rest for either Dickinson or King against Bandido. Will VLNCE UNLTD walk away the winners leading to a future Ring Of Honor World Championship against Bandido?
ROH TV Preview for 8/7/21
Marti Belle vs. Trish Adora
In the second of the two matches on this evening of the ROH Women’s Championship tournament, fans will see Belle against Adora. One of the most exciting women on the independent wrestling circuit is non-other than Trish Adora. A modern-day revolutionary, Adora brings all the passion and energy she has long been synonymous with into this tournament. She stands across the ring from a 13-year veteran, Marti Belle. Belle faces easily one of the fastest rising and notable women in wrestling today.
Between Belle and Adora, who has the best opportunity to advance? That appears to be the question those watching this match will be asking. Despite having several years of experience behind her, Belle may not have the answer for Adora moving on. With the winner facing the winner of the Allysin & Willow Nightingale matchup in the quarterfinals.
What To Expect:
- Will the Briscoes & The Righteous come face to face in the lead-in to Glory By Honor Night 1?
- Will any of the women that advanced in the first round take a closer look at the two first-round matches scheduled on this evening?
- Can Matt Taven & Vincent manage to resist the urge to square off against one another?
