WSU Present Something Entirely New | Presents

WSU returns with their first show in nine months as they present Something Entirely New. And along with a renewed direction, they have a new definition for their initials. From 2007 until March 18, 2019, they were Women Superstars Uncensored. As of March 18th, they are now Women Superstars United. Chief Brand Officer Jamie Benson said this of the change: “This name change highlights our focus on being a brand that everyone can enjoy while refining our commitment to being a platform for the best women’s athletes on the planet.” Now as Women Superstars United, they will bring you a show on March 23rd aptly titled Something Entirely New! With a mix of old favorites and new faces, WSU is prepared to reclaim its title as one of the top women’s wrestling promotions in the country.

WSU Present Something Entirely New

Maria Manic vs Rahne Victoria

Maria Manic is one half the WSU Tag Team Champions, so no stranger to a WSU crowd. She’s also one of the baddest women in pro wrestling today. Maria is also just three years into her career, she was trained by fellow CZW regular, Matt Tremont. Manic may not be a technical wizard, but she knows how to put a beating down on someone. Rahne Victoria, like Maria, is still young in her career. Working and training out of the St. Louis area, Victoria made her debut in March of 2017. When she’s not grappling in the mid-west area, she has a degree in biology and currently works in that field. She also is one half of the tag team Golden Unit with Savanna Stone who also makes her debut here. Rahne is aware that death may become her, but she’s ready to take the fight to Maria Manic!

Ava Everett vs. Vanity

Ava Everett is the 90s loving half of the Platinum Hunnies. She will be making her WSU debut, as well as her opponent Vanity. Ava called the Wrestle Bae out in a 90s centric promo video, which is below. Vanity is a New Jersey native with a couple of years under her belt. Mainly working in the Northeast, she’s become a regular in promotions like Women’s Wrestling Revolution. While she may not have ever worked for WSU before, she has worked with some of the other women on the card, such as Kasey Catal. These two will square off on March 23rd at Something Entirely New!

Valentina Vazquez vs. Megan Mason

Another pair of debuts for Something Entirely New! Valentina Vazquez is a name CZW fans will be familiar with, she appears for them regularly. Most of the time she does valet for the stable Young, Dumb N Broke (YDB). However now, it’s all about Valentina. She’s been slowly increasing her in-ring presence and this will be another notch on her belt. Megan Mason is a young facebreaker from the New York area. She would fit in the CZW style, so she should translate well into their sister promotion. Megan is strong and unafraid to go as violent as needed to get to her goal.

Jinx vs. Kasey Catal

The Bloody Adorable Brawler Jinx is also making her WSU debut at Something Entirely New. Don’t let her adorableness fool you though, this petite wrestler can take the fight to you. She’s also a relatively young wrestler, ready to help shape the new direction of WSU. Kasey Catal is part of The Office in CZW. She’s also a student of the Create a Wrestler school on Long Island. Kasey is a New York native and works throughout the Northeast. She also participated in a WWE squash match against Asuka on the October 30, 2017 episode of RAW.

WSU Present Something Entirely New

Angel Sinclair vs. Violette

The other half of the Platinum Hunnies, Angel Sinclair is also in action at Something Entirely New. She feels she has a lot to prove. Her opponent will bring that out of her for sure. Violette works often in the Northeast. She was the very first House of Glory Women’s Champion. Her rivalry with Sonya Strong was quite storied. Violette has also appeared for Women’s Wrestling Revolution. One might overlook a match like this, but don’t give into that. Two women with something to prove can create something wonderful.

Brittany Blake vs. Leyla Hirsch

Here we have a WSU regular returning to the rejuvenated promotion. Brittany Blake is one-half of the Sinister Sweethearts with Samantha Heights. A graduate of the CZW Dojo, Blake has been around on the scene for about six years. She’s become a regular for Maryland Championship Wrestling (MCW), Atomic Championship Wrestling (ACW) and SHIMMER Women Athletes. Her opponent is Leyla Hirsch, also part of the stable The Office in CZW. Leyla is the most recent protégée of CZW and WSU owner, DJ Hyde. In just her two years in wrestling, she’s already racked up an incredible resume of victories. Big names like Mercedes Martinez and LuFisto have lost to the young up and comer. Perhaps Brittany Blake will be next. There’s only one way to find out, and that’s to check out Something Entirely New.

WSU Present Something Entirely New

Delmi Exo vs. Aja Perera

Delmi Exo is also making her return to WSU at Something Entirely New. Delmi is usually known as one half of the Sea Stars with Ashley Vox. However, she is a very competent and well-versed singles wrestler. She also recently made it to the finals of the CZW Trifecta tournament. Her opponent is Aja Perera, the purveyor of Perera Power! Aja is also the current Shine Nova Champion, where she is allied with Aerial Monroe and Ayla Fox. Delmi isn’t worried about her though, because as she says in the below video, she stopped believing in superheroes as a child.

WSU Spirit Championship Match
Kris Statlander (c) vs. Savanna Stone

Kris Statlander is flying in from out of this world to defend her newly won WSU Spirit Championship. This will be her first title defense after winning the belt from Jordynne Grace. Kris may not exactly be thrilled with the championship belt itself, but she will be defending it. Her opponent is the other half of the Golden Unit with Rahne Victoria, Savanna Stone. Savanna is wrestling out of St. Louis as well; Glory Pro Wrestling is where she trained. She began her training as a teenager and wrestled Nia Jax in a squash match at just 17. Now she’s working all around the Midwest and now she is making her East Coast debut. Will the leader of the Stone Movement upset the intergalactic champion? Or will the reign of Kris Statlander continue into the new era of WSU?

All of this incredible action goes down on March 23rd in Voorhees, NJ as WSU reemerges onto the scene. If you can’t make it out to the event, it will be available on CZW’s streaming site, as well as Powerslam.TV and IndependentWrestling.TV. Also scheduled to appear are Sierra and Gemma Cross. Both of them will also be making their WSU debuts.
