On October 18th, 2022, on AEW Dynamite, the AEW World Championship will be on the line in a huge TV main event when two of the biggest stars in All Elite Wrestling, Jon Moxley and Hangman Page will do battle. On one side, we have the Death Rider and a man that wants to cement his legacy as the best in AEW as the top champion.

On the other side of the ring, we have the Hangman Adam Page and a man that wants to reclaim his legacy as the world champion at any means possible. This is Jon Moxley and Adam page, have never crossed paths.

Jon Moxley and Hangman Page – The Roads To The Standoff

On September 21st, 2022, on the Grand Slam special edition of Dynamite, Jon Moxley won the Tournament Of Champions by beating Bryan Danielson to win his third AEW World championship, stapling himself as the top guy in AEW once again.

The first warrior to step up to the new champion was quickly decided when Adam Page won the Golden Ticket Battle Royal on the September 22nd, 2022, edition of Rampage.

The intensity began to increase rapidly after Jon Moxley defeated Juice Robinson on the September 28th, 2022, edition of Dynamite, and, after the match, Adam Page came out to confront his future adversary by going head-to-head with the champion.

The Death Rider returned the favor after he came out to face off with the Hangman after he beat Rush on the October 5th, 2022, edition of Dynamite. Jon Moxley stated that he would run through his challenger in his hometown of Ohio, proving to the world of wrestling that he is the best.

On the October 12th, 2022, edition of Dynamite, Jon Moxley came to the ring to call out Adam Page for one final confrontation before they travel to the war in Cincinnati, Ohio. The intensity almost boiled over when Moxley called his opponent a kid that he would run over, but his only seemed to fire up the Cowboy.

Page went on to talk about his issues with anxiety and depression and how his only motivation is to fight till there is nothing left, all for the AEW World Championship, before one final staredown before their blockbuster match next week.

    Reclaiming A Cowboy’s Legacy

Ever since he lost the AEW World Championship to CM Punk at Double Or Nothing 2022, Adam Page has been at a crossroads in AEW. From losing his shot at taking the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Forbidden Door to missing out on history by losing the AEW Trios World Championships Finals at All Out 2022, the Hangman has lost a strong amount of momentum after his amazing first five months of 2022.

When Page won the battle royal to face Moxley for the championship he held previously in 2022, it seemed that he was getting back to his top status in AEW, and after he got a dominant win over Rush on the October 5th, 2022, edition of Dynamite, it proved that he was ready for the opportunity of a lifetime against the Death Rider. The question of whether Adam Page can win back the world title will be answered on October 18th, 2022.

Jon Moxley and Hangman Page – A World Class Brawl

Jon Moxley has become a three-time AEW World Champion through his violent brawling style, beating down his opponents with savage elbows and using his environment to his advantage in order to gain an abundance of victories.

Similarly, Adam Page uses his strength to muscle about his opponents to slam them on the mat. As well as some of the hardest chops on the AEW roster to drive the soul out of his opponents. Despite Moxley’s focused grappling attacks and Page’s impressive aerial assaults, it all boils down to one main factor: brawling.

The match will resemble a street fight, with both men throwing their biggest bombs at one another all over the ring and ringside. With their individual attributes being used in order to find an advantage. It will be a fight for the ages between two hard-hitters, but only one can walk out with the AEW World Championship.

“Why him? A lot have said truly he’s one of the best professional wrestlers in the world, former AEW champion. I believe potentially the next world champion in Cincinnati, October 18th on AEW Dynamite, he has the opportunity to wrestle Jon Moxley for the championship.

I think beyond what he can help for our group, I think he is a fantastic person, he’s been very helpful to everyone in The Dark Order, I think he has a great future and I think if he was our ace, Dark Order would go on to do much greater things.”

Jon Moxley and Hangman Page – Battling For The Elite Throne

Despite the vast roster of All Elite Wrestling, there is a finite amount of wrestlers that could claim to be the best, with both Moxley and Page having strong claims to that title. Both wrestlers have main-evented many PPVs.

They have defined their legacies by holding the top prize in AEW. The two have victories over many of the competitors in the company. This will not only be a battle for the title, but to be the top guy in All Elite Wrestling.

Both men have also had many memorable moments with the AEW World Championship that have helped them to be in the argument for the best wrestler in the world. They both understand that the idea of ‘being the best’ means that only one can be on top of the pedestal, so they will fight for both the championship and place themselves on top of the wrestling world.

And this brings us to October 18th, 2022, on AEW Dynamite. Two men will walk into Cincinnati, Ohio, with strong motivations, but only one will leave on top with the AEW World Championship. Adam Page looks to become a two-time AEW World Champion and shut away the demons in his head.

But Jon Moxley stands in his ways like a roadblock, wanting to stay on top in AEW as the champion. So, will Jon Moxley remain the AEW World Champion by running down the Hangman? Or will Adam Page be the man to take out the Death Rider to hold the gold once again in All Elite Wrestling?
