On Tuesday, February 15th, WWE presents NXT Vengeance Day 2022. Throughout the evening, fans will witness love and hate come together and dish out more than candies, chocolate, and flowers. From a weaponized steel cage to the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Classic and three championships matches, NXT Vengeance Day 2022 appears to have to have several exciting matches presented on this day.

While the day before fans are likely to see fans exchange tidings of love, it is the night after when Toxic Attraction look to retain their titles, Carmelo Hayes hopes to retain his championship, and the new face of NXT Bron Breakker is determined to retain his title. So who walks out on this night, and who is carried out?

The ongoing battle between these two is set to have its blowoff match. These two have been at each other time and time again. From crowbars used to mouthguards taken as a trophy, both men have tried to get into the head of the other time and time again. But, unfortunately, it took for this type of match to be made to truly raise the stakes between both of them.

Since their battle as part of their respective teams at War Games, D’Angelo and Dunn have continued to come at each other. From a character standpoint, it is a refreshing change to see Dunn have to battle someone that is equally as likely to hurt someone all in the sake of business.

This match pits last year’s finals winners and former Tag Team Champions against a rising team in NXT. Since the aid and direction of the shaman (Riddle), it appears as though MSK have regained their sense of direction and purpose. But now they appear to have come face to face with a team that isn’t just as close as brothers; they are brothers! Brutus and Julius are about as raw as any team today.

With a look and feel steeped in amateur wrestling, the Creed Brothers appear headed for the win in the Dusty Classic finals. The difference here, though, is they face a team that has been to the finals and know what it takes to win it. Will MSK repeat as Dusty Cup winners, or will the brothers’ Creed walk out the winners?

How do you stop someone from heading to the moon? You put someone that claims never to miss when he shoots his shot. This is the matchup posed here for the NXT North American Championship. Cameron Grimes is a former Millon Dollar Champion, but he is newly invigorated as part of NXT 2.0. Standing before him is the current NXT North American Champion.

Armed with Trick Williams by his side, Carmelo Hayes has the confidence and cockiness that has had him not only talk a big game but back it up as well. Is this the night when Hayes is dethroned as the NXT North American Champion, or will Carmelo once again shoot and not miss?

If there has been a tag team championship match where the challengers have turmoil surrounding them, it is this one. Pirotta has faced challenges in handi-cap matches and shown just how dominant she can be as a single. Add to this the teased past relationship between Hartwell and Duke Hudson; it appears the best friends of Hartwell and Pirotta could be heading for a split.

It is that type of dissension Toxic Attraction members Dolin and Jayne are set on capitalizing. Will this be another instance where a team of best friends implodes because of distractions outside the ring? Coul Hartwell’s ‘husband’ Dexter Lumis play a factor in this match as well?

On the go-home episode of NXT 2.0, we witnessed a number of names play a factor in this match, and neither are involved in it either. Fans witnessed Dolph Ziggler and Tomasso Ciampa both came out and interrupt the contract signing between Breakker and Escobar. Was that because it has planted seeds for other threats for the title after the match? Or did the segment need a special nuance added to it, making it different?

The issue is that if the match wasn’t meant to be a fatal four-way, it leaves fans wondering beyond this match, and this match is what several fans have come wanting to see. Does Escobar finally become the NXT Champion, or does the era of Bron continue in NXT 2.0?

    What To Expect

    • Mandy Rose addresses future threats to the title.
    • Kay Lee Ray & Io Shirai get involved in the Women’s Tag Team Title Match in some form.
