For the NXT 2.0 preview for 10/5/21, two matches were announced. After last week’s championship studded show, this week’s edition has a very different feel for it. We have seen how different men and women are all vying for a chance to contend for a  championship. In some cases, we are seeing characters develop, teams form, and new threats for titles. With the recent departure of Hit Row to Monday Night Raw, where do other factions on the brand stand? Could we see The Way take on a more significant role with the inclusion of Dexter Lumis? Does Legado Del Fantasma assert their dominance and contend for all the NXT championships?

    ________________________

Several questions appear to be asked as talent from NXT could be moving to either the Raw or SmackDown brands. As a result, this week’s show may be more different by the end of the program than at the beginning of the show. Here is the NXT 2.0 preview for 10/5/21.

    LA Knight vs. Odessey Jones

With a couple of weeks removed from the debut of NXT 2.0, it became necessary for those within the brand to have direction. For LA Knight, he has been the Millon Dollar Champion, been involved in a feud with Cameron Grimes, and challenged for the NXT Championship. Now, however, it was important for him to face off with the up-and-coming threats on the brand. One such threat that stands before Knight is the finalist in the NXT Breakout 2021 Tournament.

Odessey Jones has an infectious energy. He is someone that has a lot to offer, and to be so young also lends himself an opportunity to grow. Before him is a man that is a long-time veteran and someone that was part of the WWE’s developmental system. That was then, however, and this is now. Knight wants to be a threat for the NXT Championship, and he will not let Odessey Jones prevent him from achieving that.

    8-Man Tag Team Match
MSK & Jensen & Briggs vs. Grizzled Young Veterans & Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams

One of the growing questions in NXT 2.0 is the NXT Tag Team Championship. Despite being the NXT Tag Team Champions, MSK continues to fight for respect. They have defeated Lorcan & Burch, Ciampa & Thatcher, Grizzled Young Veterans, and Imperium. Through all these victories, however, little seems to be thought of them. This was until now, it seems. With a revitalized brand comes with it a series of new and old threats. On one side, we have the current champions in MSK. They are teaming with a team fans of NXT 2.0 are new to. Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs are as willing to knock each other out as they are their opposition.

As the NXT Breakout Tournament winner and holder of a championship opportunity, Carmelo Hayes is getting ready to take his shot. While this match is not that championship opportunity, it will allow him to see if the NXT Tag Team Championship may be where he wants to apply that contract. Standing alongside them are the former NXT UK Champions, Zack Gibson and James Drake. They are two men that are as likely to stab their teammates in the back as they are to finish off their opposition. Which teams best set themselves to challenge for the NXT Tag Team Titles?

    What To Expect

    • Kyle O’Reilly & Von Wagner look to settle the score with Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland.
    • Raquel Gonzalez addresses’ the attack by Toxic Attraction.
    • Bron Breakker continues to threaten to come for Tomasso Ciampa and the NXT Championship.
