On this past week’s edition of NXT, General Manager William Regal announced the main event of the upcoming NXT TakeOver Toronto II. It will be NXT Champion Adam Cole against former champion Johnny Gargano in a 2 out of 3 falls affair. What is interesting to note is that both champion and challenger will be able to select a stipulation for each fall with the NXT General Manager deciding on what the stipulation for the third fall will be. When thinking about this it is pretty remarkable in that each fall could vary in its outcome. We could have a scenario play out with only pinfalls being valid for the first fall and only submissions for the second.

While these stipulations haven’t been stated as of yet, the possibilities to have each fall have a specific manner in which way a match can conclude is quite interesting. WWE NXT Takeover: Toronto II is Saturday, August 10 from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Madison’s Mindset: When the two best talents in the brand are destined to face each other and main event a TakeOver there have to be higher stakes involved. While the NXT championship is already considered the focal point of the brand but it is how it is earned that is the most fascinating part of this booking. Fans have already seen these two face each other in a 2 out of 3 falls count matchup and again in a single fall match up. This time around we could see a scenario play itself out where there is no disqualification for a fall leading to outside interference of the remaining members of the Undisputed Era. What will come of the winners or losers after this match is over? What will William Regal select as the third fall stipulation for the NXT TakeOver Toronto II main event?
