Welcome to a rootin, tootin good time ya’ll! You’re going to get so sick of my Western puns and humor, but I digress. This is the first edition of The Independent Wrestling Round-Up. One-stop shopping for all your non-major wrestling company news. For clarity sake, we are using having a television program as the cutoff for major versus non-major companies. For places like ROH and MLW, small compared to WWE or IMPACT, have television programs. You can find news and notes on those organizations in Mark Blake’s Week in Review. Lucha libre company news for promotions like AAA, CMLL, and the Crash can be found in Esto es Lucha! every week with Netto Gonzalez. This column is intended for companies on the rise and in need of a little extra spotlight.

WrestlePro announced several upcoming matches for Return to Rahway on September 14th:
KM and Fallah Bah defend the WrestlePro Tag Team Titles against Craig Steele and Danny Doring
    Sami Callihan vs TJ Crawford
Orange Cassidy will be making his WrestlePro debut against Bobby Wayward.
Joey Janela vs. Dan Maff – Janela’s last match in Rahway
    AEW vs WrestlePro
SoCal Uncensored vs. Pat Buck, Anthony Bowens & Matt Macintosh

Women of Wrestling will rise again for a second season, debuting on September 7th. Their next set of tapings will be at the Belasco in Downtown Los Angeles on September 18 and 19. Some tickets are still available. As we count down to the season premiere, stay tuned to the Pro Wrestling Post for our #WOWofTheDay series. WOW is part of AXS TV’s Saturday Night wrestling block, representing some of the best in women’s and independent wrestling.

PCW Ultra has a new weekly series on YouTube, entitled Mutiny.

The promotion WrestleCircus has made the painful decision to close its doors for good. This is following a recent messy situation regarding their last booked show, scheduled for July 28th. Details were sketchy and there was lots of radio silence. However finality final came, and all that’s left are the memories of what was. If you purchased tickets to their final show, Beyond Wrestling is offering to give you access to their show Americanrana for free. You can contact them here: beyondwrestling@gmail.com.

This section will cover wrestler-specific news and notes. First up, a short video on Mercedes Martinez was released by Now This. They cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time, talking about her life, her career and the sisterhood of wrestling.

Candy Lee will return to RISE in November for their event La Escalera. She made her debut at RISE’s recent Pride event, Pride & Joy. This was also the New Zealand superstar’s North American debut.

That’s it for this week! I’ll catch you back here, same bat time, same bat channel for more news and notes. If you see something you think is worth spotlighting, I am open for suggestions! My Twitter is @BrandiWritesPW, feel free to drop me a line.
