This Friday, AEW Rampage for 9/3/21, is sure to be exciting as we gear up for All-Out on Sunday; this is sure to be the final chance to set the stage for the upcoming Pay-Per-View. Unfortunately, we did see a couple of these matches unfurl this week on AEW Dynamite. First, we noticed more trouble brewing between Daniel Garcia, 2.0, CM Punk, Darby Allin, and Sting, which helped set the tone for Garcia and Allin’s upcoming match. Next, we saw Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D, create an opportunity for Rampage to try and allow her an advantage over Kris Statlander at All Out.

We also saw a promo from Malakai Black indicating that he is ready for his upcoming match this Friday! With all of these events taking place and All-Out just days away, it will surely be another fantastic episode of Rampage! In addition to the announced matches, we have heard that CM Punk will be addressing the crowd again, ahead of his matchup at All Out. TNT Champion Miro will also be in attendance to address the crowd this Friday. Let’s take a look at some of the matches and events that we are already aware of!

    AEW Rampage for 9/3/21
Rebel & Jamie Hayter vs. Kris Statlander

On AEW Dynamite this Wednesday, we saw Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D speaking backstage with Rebel and Jamie Hayter; she announced that she has signed a new long term contract with AEW and that Tony Khan is allowing her to set up a match as she is the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion. Baker announced that she has lined up for this contest for Rampage this Friday for her opponent at All Out, Kris Statlander, to take on her two associates, Rebel and Jamie Hayter. Certainly not arguing that this was a wise move on the champion’s behalf as it will indeed allow her to go into the match on Sunday 100% where Statlander will more than likely be less than 100% after taking on two women just a couple of days before.

Hayter has recently returned to AEW after quite a hiatus and is ready for action, and we know Rebel always wants to remain in Baker’s good graces, so she will do her best to bring it to Statlander. Statlander, on many occasions, has proven she has what it takes to climb the ranks and score the victories. This Friday on Rampage, will Statlander be able to overcome Baker’s two sidekicks and come out victorious while still bringing the fight at All Out or will Rebel and Hayter have what it takes to down the #1 Contender before she meets Baker on Sunday night?

Daniel Garcia w/ 2.0 vs. Darby Allin w/ Sting

It was announced on last week’s episode of Rampage that Darby Allin with Sting in his corner would be taking on Daniel Garcia with 2.0 in his corner. This should be a great match; two exceptionally talented and up-and-coming wrestlers. In the past few weeks, we have seen Daniel Garcia and 2.0 causing quite a ruckus. This week on Dynamite, we saw Garcia and 2.0 attack CM Punk while he was addressing the crowd, and Sting and Darby Allin came to the aid of CM and chased off Garcia and 2.0. Will Darby teach Garcia to stop being such a punk and attacking wrestlers and learn some respect, or will Garcia pull off a win over the dominating Darby Allin?

Having Sting by his side during the match should also help even the odds at least a little bit, as it would not be surprising to see 2.0 get involved in this match on behalf of Garcia. Also should be interesting to see this outcome as just a couple of days later, Darby does have a match against the veteran and returning CM Punk.

    AEW Rampage for 9/3/21
    Malakai Black vs. Lee Johnson

This week on Dynamite, we also saw it announced that Malakai Black would be taking on Lee Johnson. Since his debut in AEW, we have seen Malakai Black fight a few talented wrestlers and come out on top. Lee Johnson has a pretty impressive streak of wins in AEW himself, so this match should be one to watch. Black has only had a couple of matches since joining the roster, but they have both been wins, leaving him undefeated, and he has undoubtedly shown he is a force to be reckoned with. It is hard to tell which way this match will go as of now.

Both competitors seem pretty evenly matched. Johnson has strength, while Black has the agility and an array of deadly kicks. One thing is for sure Black does not seem to show any signs of slowing down. So will he be able to maintain his undefeated streak, or will Johnson stop this dark force?

    What to Expect:

    • Will Dr. Britt Baker’s plan to wear Kris Statlander down before her title defense work to her advantage, or will Statlander come out on top of both bouts and become the new AEW Women’s World Champion?
    • After a couple of successful title defenses, what will Miro have to say to the AEW audience this coming Friday?
    • What is in the works for Malakai Black as he continues in his AEW venture?
