As we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 9/28/22, we ask the question; what does AEW do for an encore after a huge AEW Grand Slam?

AEW Grand Slam was a big night in AEW’s young history. Three titles changed hands last Wednesday night. On this week’s AEW Dynamite, we have two more titles up for grabs. It seems All Elite Wrestling is showing no signs of slowing down. Let us find out more about this show in Philadelphia in the latest edition of AEW Dynamite IGNITE.

    Chris Jericho (c) vs. Bandido
    (ROH World Championship)

In one of the biggest surprises of AEW Grand Slam, Chris Jericho defeated the talented Claudio Castagnoli to win the Ring of Honor World Championship. It is Jericho’s 8th World Title reign. He was going to celebrate his historic reign on this week’s AEW Dynamite. But it seems he has a much bigger challenge to worry about.

He will defend his newly won Ring of Honor World Title against Bandido. The talented Luchador is a former ROH and PWG Champion at the still young age of 27. He will be looking to impress in the AEW debut. Will Chris Jericho’s reign end before it begins? It could all end on Wednesday night.

    We Hear From Saraya

After last week’s Interim AEW Women’s World Championship ended, we witnessed one of the most shocking debuts in All Elite Wrestling history. Saraya, formerly WWE’s Paige, made her debut. Saraya hasn’t wrestled since December of 2017.

On Wednesday night, we will hear from Saraya for the first time on AEW television. So what is on her mind? Is she able to step back into the ring after a nearly five-year hiatus? And why did she set her sights on Britt Baker? It certainly is an eagerly anticipated moment.

    MJF Will Appear Live

MJF has a guaranteed future title shot against the AEW World Champion. However, on last week’s AEW Grand Slam, he learned that Jon Moxley is the new AEW World Champion. What will MJF have to say about this news?

He isn’t exactly a fan of Moxley. It will be interesting to learn what he has in store for the future. When will MJF cash in his title shot? We will hopefully find out that news on Wednesday night.

Toni Storm (c) vs. Serena Deeb
    (Interim AEW Women’s World Championship)

At last week’s AEW Grand Slam, Toni Storm won a Fatal Four Way Match to retain her Interim AEW Women’s World Championship. But, unfortunately, she didn’t pin Serena Deeb in that match last Wednesday night. So it is time for a rematch!

On this week’s AEW Dynamite, Serena Deeb gets another title shot against Toni Storm. Deeb has been a dangerous competitor in recent months. Can Toni survive the many submissions of Deeb? It should be another intense match-up in an improving AEW Women’s Division.

    Jon Moxley vs. Juice Robinson
    (AEW World Championship Eliminator Match)

At AEW Grand Slam. Jon Moxley won his third AEW World Championship in a hard-fought victory over Bryan Danielson. But, I guess that vacation Moxley wanted will have to wait a bit longer. In fact, he has to fight in a AEW World Title Eliminator on this week’s AEW Dynamite. Can’t let the AEW Champion rest, it seems!

His opponent on Wednesday night is Juice Robinson. Robinson has had a lot of success as a member of the New Japan roster. He is even a three-time former IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion. It is certainly not a breather for Jon Moxley on AEW Dynamite. Can he possibly be ready and rested after last week? Time will undoubtedly tell.

    What To Expect:

    • How will the Acclaimed celebrate their newly one AEW World Tag Team Championship?
    • What is next for double champion Pac?
    • What is next for Bryan Danielson after another heartbreaking loss?

What do you anticipate will happen this week on AEW Dynamite on the 9/28/22 edition? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
