The Road to Forbidden Door is officially on as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 06/05/24! On last week’s AEW Dynamite, stars of New Japan and CMLL appeared on the show in major matches. Who knows who might just appear on this week’s show?
This week’s show will certainly not be slowing down on the road to the pay-per-view on June 30th.
We will have the return of MJF, a big Women’s division match, and an AEW World Championship match. Let us find out more about this important card in Loveland in the latest edition of AEW Ignite.

MJF Returns
At AEW Double or Nothing, the long-awaited return of former AEW World Champion MJF finally happened after a five-month absence. In a passionate promo, he made it clear what his intentions clearly were.
He would be a lone wolf going forward, and he was staying in All Elite Wrestling for the long haul.
On this week’s Dynamite, MJF makes his return to weekly AEW programming. What will he have to say? And Rush seems to be setting his sights on MJF already based on his words last week.
Will Rush make an appearance as well? It is safe to say that All Elite Wrestling has missed MJF. It will be great to see him again on Dynamite in Loveland.

Mariah May vs Saraya
After a week’s delay, it is time for a big match in the AEW Women’s division. Saraya, a former AEW Women’s World Champion and former ally of Toni Storm, will face off against Storm’s protege, Mariah May. Who can get the upper hand in this important match?
We also need to watch “Timeless” Toni Storm during this match. She challenged May’s former ally, Stardom’s Mina Shirakawa to a match at Forbidden Door. Will either of them factor into the outcome on Wednesday night?
It seems May could be distracted by allies vying for her attention in recent weeks. Could those distractions cost her on AEW Dynamite?

Swerve Strickland (c) vs. Roderick Strong
(AEW World Championship)
You cannot deny that Swerve Strickland is a fighting AEW World Champion. He defended his title against Christian Cage at Double or Nothing. He fought Killswitch on last week’s AEW Dynamite. He will even defend the title against Will Ospreay at Forbidden Door.
That is if he gets to the Forbidden Door as a champion. Roderick Strong, on AEW Collision, complained he should have been part of the Casino Gauntlet match last Wednesday.
His complaints seemed to work as the AEW leaders gave him a shot at the AEW World Championship on this week’s show.
Can Strickland overcome the odds yet again? We know Strong will attempt to use his Undisputed Kingdom to try to pull the upset.
Strickland will be ready, but this might be his toughest challenge to date. And with Ospreay be waiting in the wings for the winner? It will be a major uphill battle indeed for the champion.
What To Expect:
- Will we have more qualifying matches in the TNT Championship Ladder Match at Forbidden Door?
- What will the Elite do next after the hiring of a new EVP?
- Will we see more stars of NJPW and CMLL on Wednesday night in Colorado?
