As seen recently, the Fallen Goddess has had a change of heart. For those that weren’t aware, her recent beat down of Dani Mo was a reflection of someone that was likely tired of playing nice and now will come at her opposition with ruthless aggression. Alright, the end of the previous statement might typically give someone flashbacks of a different time and company, but it holds true for Athena in this instance.
Since arriving in AEW, she hasn’t captured any gold and seems to have been drifting from place to place without anything meaningful other than her rivalry with Jade Cargill. So what will Athena say on this week’s edition of Rampage? If it is her putting the women’s locker room on notice, it will be interesting to hear.

To have Shida defend the Regina title on Rampage is great to see. But what is the most notable fact going into this match doesn’t even involve either competitor? On this past week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, Tony Schivone had a sit-down interview with AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter.
During her interview, she made mention of this match and that she would be keeping a close eye on the two involved. But what does that mean exactly? Could Hayter be suggesting that the winner coming out of this championship match will be her next challenger for the AEW Women’s Championship?

Orange Cassidy defends the AEW All-Atlantic Championship.
In a backstage interview, Cassidy and Kip Sabian are involved in a conversation led by Tony Schivone. We witnessed an already beaten Sabian clutching his head as Cassidy said he would give him a championship opportunity on this coming Friday’s edition of Rampage.
But Sabian thought his challenge was convenient as he issued it while injured. So with that said, it was Cassidy who that said then if he couldn’t face him, then for Sabian to find a challenger for his title this Friday. Instead, Sabian walked away, nodding his head. This left Cassidy and Schivone to presume that he would find someone.

Jon Moxley vs. Konsuke Takeshita
On this past week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, Moxley had issued a challenge to face anyone on this coming week’s Rampage. That challenge was issued by AEW’s most recent signee, Konsuke Takeshita. Takeshita has grown so much in the ring while he has been in North America. His experiences have led him right away to this opportunity.
Moxley has hunger in his eyes, and while he awaits his opportunity for an AEW World Championship rematch, his focus is on Takeshita. For everyone that Moxley faces, he approaches with the same intent of having them bring their best to each match. The same expectation is undoubtedly there for Takeshita as well.
What will a win for Takeshita do? Does that thrust him into title contention as he defeated the former 3-time champion? In comparison, is this ultimately a ‘workout’ for Moxley, or will it immediately secure him as the champion coming out of Winter is coming’s challenger?
