This past Friday at Pro-Wrestling: EVE’s Friday Night Riot, viewers were stunned to learn that the EVE Tag Team Titles have been made vacant. EVE have not announced the reason for the vacancy, though an announcement is forthcoming.
On Friday, Jetta took to the ring to make the announcement. Thus ended the reign of the Wrestle Friends at 89 days and 0 defenses. Wrestle Friends (Jetta and Erin Angel) won the titles at Wrestle Queendom II, becoming inaugural champions. They won the match in a three-way contest that included the Diamond Vogue Collective (Jinny and Mercedez Blaze) and Medusa Complex (Millie McKenzie and Charli Evans).
Dann and Emily Read announced plans on a live twitter video for how to resolve the vacancy. On October 12, there will be a four-team tournament to crown new champions. Diamond Vogue Collective, Nightshade & Livvii Grace, Woke Queens (Debbie Keitel & Valkyrie), and Mercedes Martinez & Laura Di Matteo will compete in the tournament. Erin Angel will then present the belts to the winning team. Along with the presentation of the titles, Erin Angel will give an update on the situation that led to the vacancy. Who will capture the vacant EVE Tag Titles?

The SHE-1 field is filling in fast
In SHE-1 news, the field is shaping up with seven of twelve spots already claimed. On October 12, Roxxy will face Kasey to determine the eighth contender in the tournament. Currently in are Mei Suruga, Laura Di Matteo, Millie McKenzie, Gisele Shaw, Jetta, Rhia O’Reilly, and Mercedes Martinez. Martinez qualified on September 14 at Wrestling With an Agenda, taking the spot from Charli Evans.
The annual SHE-1 tournament crowns the Ace of EVE. Charlie Morgan won the inaugural tournament, and Jamie Hayter won last year’s tournament. The Ace of EVE will get a championship match of her choosing at Wrestle Queendom. Both previous Aces of EVE have won their championship outings, so watch for the winner to be the recipient of a major push.
The SHE-1 tournament will be held November 7 and 8 and will be available to watch via EVE on Demand.
