WEEKLY PROMOCIONES
CMLL
This time will talk about different events of CMLL of the week. Let’s check it and enjoy it.
Last Monday at Arena Puebla, CMLL gave us two great matches. The first one was an incredible match, on one side was NGD (Sanson, Cuatrero, and Forastero) and Mistico and on the other side was Los Guerreros Laguneros (Ultimo Guerrero, Gran Guerrero, and Euforia) and Soberano Jr. Team Guerrero gained the first fall by when they dominated their opponents and got the victory with a submission. NGD and Mistico fought back and gained the next fall with a Catapulta, tying up the score. The final fall started with NGD, they dominated but in the last moments, Soberano hit a great dive. Cuatrero and Forastero applied a somersault to Euforia and Gran Guerrero. The match was decided by Mistico and Ultimo Guerrero. Ultimo took advantage when the referee was distracted and took off Mistico’s mask and pinned him for the victory.
Arena Puebla had a great singles match, where Rush and Caristico went face to face. This time was to show who is better. Rush had been with ROH in Toronto, and he wants the ROH Championship that Matt Taven holds, and in Mexico he had another rivalry to finish. The match started on the ramp, Caristico was waiting for Rush, but he was surprised from behind. Rush punished him with hits and strikes. Rush gave him the first fall when he took off Caristico’s mask. The second fall was incredible, Rush showed that he was the most Ingobernable was dominating. Rush tore Caristico’s mask, and he threw Caristo into the chairs. When the fall was looking to be Rush’s, Caristico woke up and hit a triple tope! The drama was alive, Rush and Caristico tried to get the victory with different moments, but they can’t. Again, Rush threw Caristico into the chairs. Back in the ring, Caristico hit a great spear and that was enough. Caristico won the match when the referee was distracted, Caristico took off his mask and threw it to Rush. When the referee turned his attention to the match, he disqualified Rush.
Now, it’s time to learn about all Friday Spectacular or Viernes Espectaculares. CMLL always presents a great card, but for Esto es Lucha, we will talk about three matches.
The first one is the finals of Amazonas Championship Tournament. This tournament has been discussed about two weeks ago, we shared all the details. This match is only one fall between Dalys and La Metalica. The match, in general was good, they were a little nervous but they could make a good match. They started with a Mexican classic style, which is technical. The strategy about this is knowing your rival and weakening her. The match also showed speed and with some hits and dives as well. Dalys hit a plancha then La Metalica hit a tope. Once in control, Dalys punished the back of La Metalica against the corner and then on the ring apron. She again punished La Metalica’s more with her knees. Dalys got the victory with a suplex and she is the first to win this belt.
Another match was also a singles, between Volador Jr. and Forastero. This challenge was also born two weeks ago, when the Dream Team tried to get the Trios Championships from Sanson, Cuatrero, and Forastero. Last week, Volador was cheated by Forastero and his team lost the match. Now they will go face to face and they will search for who is better. This match was great. The action started before the bell rang. Forastero attacked Volador on the ramp. Since the beginning, they showed their skills. The first fall was for Forastero by submission and the second one was for Volador by a torito and hurricanrana. The third fall was the best, they didn’t hold anything back. Forastero and Volador hit great topes and Volador hit a somersault. The moment of the night was when Volador applied Tijeras to Forastero from the barrier. The crowd very supportive to Forastero this night, they too were rudos. The match finished when Volador hit a super frankesteiner. Volador got the victory but we hope to see more from these men and their rivalry to continue.
The main event was Ultimo Guerrero, Mistico, and Dragon Lee against Ciber, Caristico, and El Valiente. This match was programmed around the rivalry between Guerrero and Ciber, but the great surprise was the other luchadors because they are partners, but tonight they were enemies. Caristico and Valiente showed their rudo side. The first and second fall was on the floor, punished with the barrier and the commentary table. All of the luchadors were aggressive and intense. The final fall was stolen by the great moves, speed, topes, and somersault by Mistico, Dragon, Caristico, and Valiente. These men made the crowd connect with the match. When Caristico and Mistico were face to face, the crowd was excited. CMLL is set with the rivalry between Guerrero and Ciber but, for weeks, the crowd doesn’t connect with them. The final fall once again is about to cheat with a low blow or hit a low blow. Ultimo got the victory. That’s the same in this rivalry and they honestly don’t need that. They need to excite the crowd and leave it all in the ring. After the match, Ultimo Guerrero challenged Ciber to a hair versus hair match.
CMLL – Lucha Libre News
CMLL has announced the Grand Prix 2019. This is a tournament between Mexico and the rest of the World. IWRG/MDA
MDA had an event with IWRG at Arena Naucalpan on August 11th. This is arena is a great place about Lucha Libre, they train and form great luchadors based both in classic style and new style. The crowd in this arena is demanding and knowledgeable. The most matches are aggressive and technical; they fight with honor and pride, and they make us remember 80s Mexican Lucha Libre. Here we’ll talk about the two final matches, so let’s get to it.
The semi-main event was between family luchadors or MDA called Dynasty Battle. On one side was Los Traumas (I and II). Here on Esto es Lucha talked about them, they’re working with The Crash, and they started in IWRG, so this time, they had in front and another’s brothers from Monterrey, Mexico. They are Los Caifanes (I and II). Los Caifanes are a team very popular in Monterrey and now, they have worked in Mexico City. This team had great fights against Ricky Marvin, Virus, and Volador Jr, now, they are considered a great luchadors and masters.
The match started with Caifan II and Trauma II, really, what an amazing form to start the match. They gave us a cathedral of llaveo and contra llaveo. They taught all their technical keys. The crowd in this place is demanding, and they applaud them and yelled Esto es Lucha or This is wrestling. Now, it’s the turn to Cainfan I and Trauma I, they managed another style. They were more aggressive with hits and strikes. The match was a great rhythm, speed, and great slaps. Caifanes tried to get the victory with Frankesteiner, and Power slam, but only had two counts. Now, it was a time of flights. Trauma II applied a tope or similar of that to Caifan I. Caifan II applied a somersault from the ring to the floor when Trauma II was lay. The match was defined by Trauma II when he applied a Nudo Rosa and DDT to Caifan I. Great match with they taught technical match. The crowd threw money and thank their effort.
The main event was Caristico, and Super Nova (AAA was Bengala) against Aramis, and Imposible. The last ones are IWRG Tag-Team Champions. About Caristico, we know all of him, now, he had a great match at ROH event and soon, he will participate in Super J Cup. Super Nova had a good time in AAA with the character Bengala. Texano’s brother is a great highflyer and now he searches more opportunities in the indy circuit. Imposible is a great luchador and he has represented IWRG school of a great form, he managed a great technical and highflyer style. Aramis is the future of Mexican Lucha Libre, he and Dragon Bane have given tremendous matches in all the indy circuit. Aramis is a great highflyer and he has an innovative style. Imposible and Aramis also have worked with AAA, Lucha Libre Elite, and IMPACT. So, these four men have everything to give a great match.
The match started with speed and all gave them hits. Super Nova and Aramis showed great moves and great speed. Super Nova, and Caristico started to control the match, they attacked their opponents with hits and strikes. Super Nova tried to take off Aramis’ mask. Super Nova raises to Aramis and Caristico kicks him, great move and combination of this new team. Caristico, and Super Nova punished Aramis, and Imposible among the crowd and with chairs, this is IWRG style. The champs couldn’t do anything but Aramis had a reaction with head scissors and… Whoa!, double plancha of Aramis and Imposible from the top of the corner to the first row where Caristico and Super Nova were. Now, Aramis and Imposible punished them on the floor and among the crowd. When the champs had the control of the match, Caristico, and Super Nova applied double tope. The champs searched the victory with Backcracker to Caristico, but only had two counts. Super Nova defeated Aramis with via submission and Caristico defeated Imposible with La Mistica. After the match, Caristico, and Super Nova asked an opportunity by the IWRG Tag Team Champions. So, we hope to see soon.
