On Friday, December 28th, Wrestling Revolver presents Holiday Hangover. The event is slated to take place from Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines, IA. With months of build, there have been a few changes that have taken place to the card during that time. With that said, those changes haven’t in any way played a part in the events overall booking and presentation. Fans may recall that PCO was originally scheduled to face the Zombie Princess Jimmy Jacobs.

However, despite that match booking has since changed it hasn’t in any way reduced in its quality of booking. There are so many talented men and women set to take part in this match it is impossible to find a weaker match on the card. Will the Rascalz retail their tag team championships? Who will become the Wrestling Revolver champion when all is said and done? Here is our Wrestling Revolver’s Holiday Hangover preview.

    First Round Match

    Jessica Havok vs. Matthew Palmer

This match pits a very interesting mix of styles as the Havok Death Machine in Jessicka Havok takes on Iowa’s Most Hated in Matthew Palmer. By all indications this first-round matchup to determine the Wrestling Revolver title is certainly sure to create its fair share of buzz. It is more than simply an intergender match it is a contest where no punches will be pulled but certainly a number of eyes will be gauged.

On social media, Palmer’s brash and confident nature holds no bounds. Rather than respond or acknowledge Palmer’s tweets, she is choosing to do her talking in the ring. Whether it was in Havok in less than First Round Match

    Larry D vs. Rich Swann

A second first round match involves The C.A.R.T (Charismatic, Athletic, Raw, Talent) in Rich Swann against Legendary Larry D. Jones is as tough as there is and the Georgetown, Kentucky resident will pull no punches in his attempt to slow down the man many ‘can’t handle’. With a true difference in styles, we could see Larry pull out moves we otherwise wouldn’t see come from his offense. What would be interesting to see if Swann for as revolutionary in the ring as he can be will be able to run circles around the much thicker adversary? It will really test both men and in a tournament that involves only Hangover Open Invite Scramble Championship – Caleb Konley vs. Madman Fulton vs. Manscout vs. Clayton Gainz vs Ace Romero vs. Tommy Dreamer

If there is one match that will be buzzing throughout its entirety it would be the Hangover Open Invite ECW innovator of violence Tommy Dreamer or former WWE NXT talent Madman Fulton, stakes in this contest are at an all-time high. It would be interesting to see how some notable talents like Caleb Konley fair against rising stars like Ace Romero. It is sure to be a contest where everyone will have to keep an eye out on their competition and be prepared to watch their back.

    First Round Match

Trey Miguel vs, JT Dunn vs. Ace Austin

One of the most fun and exciting matches on the card is without question this one. The triple threat match involving one of the Rascalz, Dunn, and Austin is sure to get the Wrestling Revolver audience off their feet. When looking at this matchup there are a few certainties that come about when assessing each of the competitors. Fans will be witness to some exciting spots at the hands of Miguel. There is likely to be some exceptionally stiff kicks and punches from Dunn.

With Austin, fans will witness a combination of the two making this match just that much fun. So with all these intangibles and different elements involved in the match, the question remains as to who actually has the advantage? It is so difficult to tell because each of these men has a legitimate chance to walk away as the winner. Who will walk away from the winner of this triple threat match? With a match too close to call First Round Match

    Brian Cage vs. Shane Strickland

This last-minute change has had excitement written all over it. What was originally supposed to be Cage and Marko Stunt has now had for The Wrestling Revolver championship.

Outside the clear size difference and strength of Cage and Strickland that is where the similarities begin and end. Both men have been champions and in doing so have made an indelible mark everywhere they have competed. This match is no different. With this announcement, it has been Brian Cage that has been sitting in limbo as to whom he would face. He is facing someone that will not relent and, in the process, do everything in his power to succeed. Who will advance into the next round of this championship tournament?

ACH and BESTies in the World vs. oVe

    Photo / ProWrestlingRevolver.com

A six-man tag match will often provide fans with a great deal to be excited about. When Mat Fitchett and Davey Vega come together as does a whole new level of synchronized teamwork. They have faced some of the most notable men in North America and this match is no different. With an alliance with ACH, they are sure to be victorious. One would think, wouldn’t they? The problem with that statement is that when Ohio Versus everything is standing on the opposite side of the ring that belief that comradery goes completely out the window. Much like a number of three-man tag teams today, oVe not only are familiar with each Revolver Tag Team Championship Match– The Rascalz – Wentz / Xavier vs. DJZ and Gingo Loco

    Photo / ProWrestlingRevolver.com

What was originally a two-team match up to decide the revolver tag team championship became a triple threat match up and then back to a months, The Rascalz and The Crew were locked in to face each other. It was sure to be a hard-fought match up with the two teams.

However, leading up to this tag team match up came the inclusion of a third team. DJZ and Gringo Loco’s addition has only raised the bar for all involved in this matchup. With the Rascalz defending the titles against two men now, it will be interesting to see how the last minute change to match lineup will affect the champions who were originally slated, for something entirely different.

The PBR Wrestler Arik Cannon vs. Zombie Princess Jimmy Jacobs

    Photo / ProWrestlingRevolver.com

The match decision to have Jimmy Jacobs and Arik Cannon face one another came about due to a last-minute change in booking. Unfortunately, Jacobs had been booked to face-off against PCO, but due to contractual obligations with Ring of Honor, the unhuman forcing a change in direction.

The anarchist is coming to bring a whole new level of fear and terror when he faces Jacobs. It will be interesting to see how the difference in size and strength of Cannon matches up against Jacobs. Jacobs mobility may be his biggest asset in this matchup.
