#Preview: Bar Wrestling 49 Invasion of the Secret Santas!

With Christmas well and truly on its way, what’s the best way to celebrate the start of Christmas than with a Santa themed wrestling show. Bar Wrestling are back with Invasion of the Secret Santas on the 4th December at the Bootleg Theater and it’s the perfect way to get excited about the festive season. As always, we are here with a preview of the show and all the matches that have been announced through Bar’s Twitter. The card is subject to change, however, it will give you a feel of the matches announced and hopefully persuade you to buy a ticket!

Chris Bey vs. Brian Cage

Both men in this match are such different but similar athletes and it just makes this match so much interesting. On one side, you’ve got Chris Bey who is slowly becoming a real favorite of Bar Wrestling fans. Then you’ve got Brian Cage who is literally a veteran in not only wrestling but Bar Wrestling as a whole. Both athletes have very different frames, but looking at their styles, they’re more similar than you think. They’re both extremely strong, fast and agile with the ability to use their skills to their advantage. If you’re looking at who might be at an advantage in this match from an experience point of view, then Brian Cage has it in the bag. However, Chris Bey is so talented and has been on a real role lately and is becoming a rising star in the business.

Miranda Alize vs. Taya Valkyrie

It’s no secret that the women in Bar Wrestling are some of the best in the world and are really given a platform to show just how amazing they are. This is the perfect example of this. It seems as if these previews cannot praise and fangirl over Taya Valkyrie anymore and hopefully it’s clear why. Valkyrie really dominates whatever promotion she’s a part of with her strength, agility and amazing charisma all combined into this badass wrestler.

However, the same can be said for her opponent Miranda Alize. You may remember her from the last preview during the elimination show just a week ago. Like Valkyrie, Alize is mega strong and powerful and has been up against a variety of opponents. I can’t see Alize being too intimidated by the luchadora badass. However, maybe she should. Taya is a veteran of not only wrestling but a Bar Wrestling favorite, which might just give her the edge to win the match.

Anthony Greene & The Platinum Hunnies vs. Joey Ryan & mystery partners with Gail Kim as the special guest referee

When I saw this match, it was extremely intriguing not just because of the people involved but mainly the mystery behind it at Invasion of the Secret Santas! On one side of the match, we’ve got our confirmed team in the shape of Anthony Greene and tag team Platinum Hunnies (Angel Sinclair and Ava Everett). It’s unconventional, to say the least, but within the team has a really nice set of skills from a singles star known for his personality and all-round skills with a solid tag team that knows how to work together and have a great mix of high flying and technical skills.

However, with Joey Ryan on the other side of them with no real idea of who his partners are going to be, they’re in for a tough task preparing for opponents they don’t even know. Knowing Joey, they’re going to be a lot of fun and it’s going to make for a great match and maybe some dick flips here and there. One thing that will probably stand out to those eagle-eyed of you is the special referee for this match: Gail Kim. This is so exciting having one of the pioneers in women’s wrestling in a Bar Wrestling ring and let’s hope she’s going to be as impartial and amazing refereeing as she is in the ring as a performer.
