Kagetsu Retirement Show Announced (Final Matches Included)

On December 25th, 2019, Kagetsu would announce her retirement from professional wrestling. She said she would wrestle for Stardom for about a month and then in February, she’ll be fighting various opponents from different promotions before her last show on February 24th, which she’ll also be producing as well. The former Odeo Tai leader wrestled her final Stardom match on January 26th where she teamed with Mayu Iwatani to take on Momo Watanabe and Jungle Kyona, and Kagetsu would be pinned by Jungle to lose the match.

Now that she has finished her Stardom obligations, it’s time for her to freelance for the remainder of February before her retirement show in a few weeks. Just recently, they have announced the full card for the event and we’ll be posting it here along with her final matches prior to the event as she will be busy before her retirement.

    Six-Man Tag Team Match
Oedo Tai (Natsu Sumire, Natsuko Tora, & Jamie Hayter) vs. Syuri, Yuu, & Leyla Hirsch

    Three-Way Match
Kaho Kobayashi vs. AZM vs. Mei Suruga

    Singles Match
    Saya Iida vs. X

    Six-Man Tag Match
Zeus, GAINI, & Jinsei Shinzaki vs. Kazuki Hashimoto, Kamui, & Daina Mido

    Singles Match
    Kagetsu vs. Meiko Satomura

Now, this looks like a great card from top to bottom. Kagetsu was able to book some big names from various companies while getting her old crew involved in a way. Curious to see who the mystery opponent will be for Saya Iida but I have no doubt it’ll be a great match with whoever she faces. Kagetsu taking on the person that trained her is a nice way to end your career as Kagetsu wanted this match after four years and now, she’s finally able to get it as her farewell.

Now before she can focus on that show, she has a few matches under her belt against a few people as part of her farewell tour and those matches have been announced as we’ll be posting them right here as well.

Aside from Kagetsu’s match against Meiko Satomura for a student versus teacher story for her final match, her matches before this all look amazing. Going up against the Sendai Girls World Champion, Chihiro Hashimoto is another match I’m looking forward to the most and has the potential to be a MOTYC.

These are Kagetsu’s six final matches in her professional wrestling career. Will all of these events be taped somewhere? Hoping that is the case since the fans do deserve to see these matches, especially her retirement show which shouldn’t be a problem being aired somewhere. Hopefully, you all take the time out of your day to find them once they air or happen. Kagetsu leaving will leave a big hole in the Joshi scene and she will be missed. Thank you for everything to our Emperor, Kagetsu and her impending retirement.
