Two weeks removed from IMPACT Wrestling’s Sacrifice, and we’re already gearing up for Rebellion. We’re also only two weeks away from Hardcore Justice, live on the IMPACT Plus app. Not only that but last week, Scott D’Amore named Tommy Dreamer as the new commissioner of IMPACT Wrestling. Let’s find out what’s scheduled for The Innovator of Violence’s first night as commissioner.  This is Brace for IMPACT for 3/23/21.

Karl Anderson (W/Doc Gallows) vs. Eddie Edwards

Tuesday night on IMPACT Wrestling, we will bear witness to a world-first as Karl Anderson takes on Eddie Edwards. On paper, this looks to be an even match between two technically gifted wrestlers. However, reality is messy, and we have to consider the x-factors. Firstly, Anderson has Doc Gallows in his corner, and Doc is known to get involved in Karl’s matches. Secondly, Brian Myers is still upset about Sacrifice, claiming Matt Cardona and Eddie Edwards conspired against him. Myers could cost Eddie the match out of revenge. Both of these factors leave Eddie Edwards on the back foot as he faces Karl Anderson on Tuesday’s IMPACT! Wrestling.

Sit Down Interview with Matt Cardona

Speaking of Matt Cardona, he’s had a conspicuously low profile since joining IMPACT Wrestling. Since he debuted at Hard to Kill, he’s only wrestled 4 matches. Half of those matches were tag team matches. For a guy who’s “Alwayz Ready,” he doesn’t seem to be wrestling much. Lately, however, he’s been butting heads with Brian Myers. Back in WWE, Myers and Cardona were a fan favorite tag team. However, these days Myers has turned to the dark side. Could Myers and Cardona be heading towards a one-on-one feud? We’ll find out when Matt Cardona sits down for his first IMPACT Wrestling interview this Tuesday night.

TJP vs Ace Austin (w/Madman Fulton) (c) –
    X-Division Championship

At Sacrifice, Ace Austin challenged TJP for the X-Division Championship in a workhorse clinic. Since then, Austin has been walking around with both the X-Division Championship and the Super X Cup. It seems all that gold has put a target on Ace Austin’s back. Last week, Chris Bey tried to finesse his way into a championship match. After all, he pinned Ace Austin on the go-home show. Then, Josh Alexander issued a challenge, being the last man to defeat both Bey and Austin. Things are clearly heating up in the X-Division, but before anyone can challenge Ace Austin, TJP has a rematch clause. On Tuesday night, expect another X-Division classic as Ace Austin and TJP clash over the championship one more time.

    Deonna Purrazzo vs Jazz

When Jazz joined IMPACT Wrestling, she announced her intentions to retire on top. To that end, the legend teamed up with Jordynne Grace in the Knockouts Tag Team Championship tournament. Eventual tournament winners Fire ‘n’ Flava eliminated them in the second round. Following their tournament elimination, they began a feud with Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo and her associates Kimber Lee and Susan. Outnumbered, they picked up an ally in the returning ODB.

Since then, both Jordynne Grace and ODB have stepped up to challenge Purrazzo, but both fell. Tuesday night, it’s Jazz’s turn to take on The Virtuosa in singles action. If Jazz should defeat Deonna Purrazzo, she’ll earn a championship match. It may not be the title she wanted, but if Jazz wants to retire on top, this might be the road she takes to get there. Can Jazz defeat Deonna Purrazzo, or will Purrazzo’s killer instinct allow her to scamper away again?

Last week, as IMPACT Unified World Champion Rich Swann celebrated his historic win at Sacrifice, Don Callis emerged to rain on his parade. Callis congratulated Swann for his victory at Sacrifice and called him one of the greatest stars in wrestling. However, Callis noted that Swann is only that, a wrestling star. His client, Kenny Omega, is a wrestling god. The IMPACT Executive VP reminded Swann of their history together but noted his history with Kenny Omega is longer. Callis was there when Kenny started in the industry. He was there to call the action when Kenny Omega became AEW World Champion. And he’ll be there to call the action when Kenny Omega becomes IMPACT Unified World Champion at Rebellion. This Tuesday night, Kenny Omega comes to IMPACT Wrestling to make some statements of his own.

    What Else To Expect

    • FinJuice give a promo from Japan
    • Violent By Design hatch new schemes
    • Rich Swann prepares to face Kenny Omega at Rebellion.
