Brace For IMPACT for 12/9/21. Last week on IMPACT! Wrestling, we saw Eddie Edwards team with Matt Cardona to take on W Morrissey and IMPACT World Champion Moose. In the climactic conclusion to this titanic tag team main event, Cardona pinned Moose to bring home the victory. Having pinned the champion, Matt Cardona has punched his ticket to the main event of Hard to Kill in January. With such a massive shift in power, what could come this week?
Thankfully, Brace For IMPACT! is here to break down what you can expect this Thursday night at 8 on AXS TV.

Rohit Raju (w/Raj Singh) vs Lawrence D
Last week, Rohit Raju and Raj Singh had a heated discussion with Johnny Swinger and Hernandez. During this argument, we learned that Rohit and Raj were never invited to the Wrestle House. That’s when Lawrence D, owner of the Wrestle House, returned to the IMPACT Zone for the first time since May 20th. Mr D overheard this conversation and challenged Rohit to a match this Thursday night.
Being that two-thirds of the Desi Hit Squad are here, we can assume Rohit Raju will try to use the numbers advantage. However, it’s also been a while since we’ve seen Lawrence D’s tag team partner, Acey Romero. Might we see a return for him this Thursday night on AXS.

The Learning Tree (VSK & Zicky Dice) vs FinJuice
Brian Myers’ Learning Tree has been quietly picking up steam since The Most Professional Wrestler took them under his wing. Both Zicky Dice and VSK have a handful of matches under their belt, but this Thursday marks their first appearance as a tag team in the IMPACT! Zone. The Learning Tree will be hoping to impress their mentor, and a win over former IMPACT tag team champions would be just the ticket.
Meanwhile, David Finlay and Juice Robinson are looking to bounce back into Tag Team Championship scene. Having lost a #1 contendership match to Bullet Club in the lead-up to Turning Point, FinJuice are at risk of sliding down the rankings. Will FinJuice maintain their spot or will we see an upset victory this Thursday night on AXS?

Rhino vs Eric Young
– Street Fight
In the lead up to Bound For Glory, Rhino left Eric Young’s stable, Violent By Design, to re-join his tag team with Heath. Since then, Eric Young has been determined to show Rhino the error of his ways. At Bound For Glory, he told Deaner and Joe Doering to beat the sense back into Rhino, but The Man Beast and Heath stood tall at the end of the night. Then, at Turning Point, Eric Young joined Joe Doering to face Heath and Rhino himself.
Young and Doering defeated Heath and Rhino, but that wasn’t enough to send the message. Eric Young isn’t going to simply let a soldier walk away from his army. This Thursday night, The War Machine and The World Class Maniac will settle the score with no count outs and no disqualifications. These two hardcore legends are sure to have an all-out war, but will Deaner, Doering, or Heath get involved?

The IInspiration (Jessie McKay & Cassie Lee) & The Influence (Tenille Dashwood & Madison Rayne w/Kaleb with a K) vs DECAY (Havok, Rosemary, Crazzy Steve, & Black Taurus)
When Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee joined IMPACT Wrestling, I doubt they expected things to be quite like this. At Bound For Glory, they defeated Havok & Rosemary to capture the Knockouts Tag Team Championships. Now, they find themselves the focus of DECAY’s twisted games. In the interim, The IInspiration have found backup thanks to Tenille Dashwood.
The Aussie Knockout reunited with her fellow countrywomen last week on IMPACT! Wrestling, and was determined to bring Madison Rayne and Kaleb with a K along for the ride. The Influence and The IInspiration could be a potentially unstoppable alliance within the Knockouts Division. However, they’re still unproven at the moment. This Thursday night, we’ll get to see The Influence and The IInspiration in action together as they face DECAY in a colossal 8-person intergender tag team match!
Deonna Purrazzo & Matthew Rehwoldt vs Mickie James & Chris Sabin
Last week, “Drama King” Matthew Rehwoldt had a match against one of his idols, Chris Sabin. During the match, Deonna Purrazzo sat in on commentary, watching Sabin work over her friend Rehwoldt. Sabin was in control for most of the match until The Virtuosa left the commentary desk and hopped up on the ring apron, distracting Sabin.
Rehwoldt capitalized on the distraction to hit his “End Scene” finisher. While Rehwoldt tried to take control himself, Knockouts Champion Mickie James hit the ringside area to fight off Purrazzo. During all the commotion, Chris Sabin picked up Rehwoldt and hit the Cradle Shock for the win.
This week, Purrazzo and Rehwoldt will face Mickie James and Chris Sabin in a tag team match. While Rehwoldt and Sabin are both looking for a title match, James and Purrazzo have a much anticipated Knockouts Championship rematch looming. Find out who gains the all-important momentum in the leadup to Hard to Kill.
