After skipping last year’s event, it is finally back! AEW Fyter Fest 2025 makes its triumphant return. And this time it is four hours long.

As we move closer to Grand Slam Mexico and AEW All In, All Elite Wrestling is having Dynamite and Collision back-to-back this Wednesday night. It is a loaded card as well.

We have an International Championship match, Jon Moxley in action, CMLL stars wrestling and the debut of a “Toxic Spider”. It should be a fun night.

Let us learn more about this massive night in Denver in the latest edition of AEW Ignite.

We’ll Hear From the Hurt Syndicate

On January 22, 2025 the Hurt Syndicate won the AEW World Tag Team Championships. And since that faithful night, they have been unstoppable. Coming on the heels of another successful defense at AEW Double or Nothing, what comes next?

At Fyter Fest, we will hear from the Hurt Syndicate. What will they have to say? Who will be their next target? With MJF part of the group, it seems the sky’s the limit.

The Toxic Spider Thekla In-Ring Debut

On last week’s AEW Dynamite, Jaime Hayter was ready to discuss her future after a heartbreaking loss at AEW Double or Nothing.

Her interview didn’t last long until the lights went out. When they came back on, Thekla was standing over Hayter and laid her out with a punch. “The Toxic Spider” had made her debut.

Thekla had been a big star in Stardom for the past four years. She is now part of the AEW roster. At Fyter Fest, she will make her AEW in-ring debut. Which unfortunate soul will be her first victim on Wednesday night?

FTR vs. Templario & Atlantis Jr.

On AEW Collision, FTR was bragging about their victory at Double or Nothing. Since they were in El Paso, they issued an Open Challenge to any team from Mexico.

The challenge was answered by CMLL’s Templario and Atlantis Jr. After Dax Harwood insulted the legendary Atlantis, the luchadors began a brawl with FTR. A tag match was set for Fyter Fest.

It is certainly a clash of styles on Wednesday night in Denver. Who will come out victorious? And will more CMLL stars make an appearance as we get closer to Grand Slam Mexico? It is always fun to see more AEW vs. CMLL matches.

    La Facción Ingobernable
vs. Komander, Kevin Knight & Speedball Bailey

On AEW Collision, La Facción Ingobernable defeated Top Flight & AR Fox. But that wasn’t enough for them. They decided to continue attacking Darius Martin after the match. That is until Komander and Speedball Bailey decided to make the save.

It sets up a Trios Match at Fyter Fest. Komander and Speedball Bailey will be joined by Kevin Knight, who just returned from New Japan’s Best of the Super Juniors. With these six competitors, it should be a true show stealer.

    AEW Fyter Fest 2025
    “Timeless” Toni Storm
& Mina Shirakawa vs. Skye Blue & Julia Hart

On Saturday night, Mina Shirakawa picked up a physical victory over Skye Blue. As you would expect, Blue’s ally Julia Hart attacked Mina post-match.

That is until “Timeless” Toni Storm made the save. It seems their “show” of respect after Double or Nothing was not a one-off thing.

At Fyter Fest, we will have a huge Women’s Tag Team match. The match itself should be quite good but the added element of the commentary adds to it too.

Mercedes Moné will be on commentary watching this important tag team match. Since her All In opponent Toni Storm will be wrestling, will Moné get involved? It adds some more intrigue to this match for sure.

    AEW Fyter Fest 2025
    Jon Moxley  vs. Mark Briscoe

On last week’s AEW Dynamite, the Death Riders defeated Speedball Bailey, Mark Briscoe & Willow Nightingale in Trios action.

Moxley was able to lock in the Bulldog Choke submission on Mark Briscoe until he passed out. This submission loss did not set right with Briscoe.

On AEW Collison, Briscoe challenged Moxley to a match at Fyter Fest. Briscoe didn’t mind losing to Moxley but the passing out was upsetting to him. His kids asked him if he quit against Jon Moxley.

Briscoe will be out to prove something to his children on Wednesday night. And a Briscoe with even more motivation? It should be a personal match in Denver.

    AEW Fyter Fest 2025
    Kenny Omega (c) vs.
Brody King vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Máscara Dorada
    (AEW International Championship)

On last week’s AEW Dynamite and Collison, we had an International Championship Tournament. The three winners of the qualifying matches won the right to challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW International Championship in a 4-Way Match at Fyter Fest. It should be quite the title match.

The three competitors to Omega all provide unique challenges. You have the power of Brody King, the strength of Claudio Castagnoli and the high-flying style of Máscara Dorada. How can Omega possibly survive all three at the same time? It should be an excellent title match in Denver.

    What To Expect:

    • What is next for Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page?
    • What is next for TNT Champion Adam Cole after his brutal match on Wednesday night?
    • Will we start to learn more matches for Grand Slam Mexico?
