AEW Rampage for 10/28/22 (TNT Championship)

On the upcoming edition of AEW Rampage for 10/28/22, three matches are set to take place. Of the matches set to take place, we witness the ongoing rivalry between the Jericho Appreciation Society and the Blackpool Combat Club, a singles women’s match and a match for the TNT Championship. But while matches set to take place are fairly notable, it’s what aired on his past week’s edition of AEW Dynamite that fans are talking about.

Fans witnessed a video vignette of what were images of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks being ‘erased’. Is this a hint that the trio are set to make their return to AEW shortly? But will the storyline of the fake TBS Championship being defended finally come to an end? Here is our preview of AEW Rampage for 10/28/22.

    Tay Melo vs. Madison Rayne

On this past week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, Excalibur shared that Tay Melo has an opportunity ahead of her. After being initially unsure of what he was referring to we would learn that Melo would be facing former TNA Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne. Could the opportunity be that in beating her, she moves further up the ladder in the AEW Women’s division?

It could likely be the only reason that it is seen as an opportunity. Rayne’s role in AEW is that of a part-time performer but also that of a coach and mentor to the women’s division. Will Rayne get the better of Melo in this match? Or will she need to look out for the risk of Melo’s friend and JAS faction member, Anna Jay AS.

Claudio Castagnoli vs. Jericho Appreciation Society’s ‘Daddy Magic’ Matt Menard

The issues between the Blackpool Combat Club and the Jericho Appreciation Society don’t appear to be over any time soon. On this past week’s edition of Dynamite, fans saw Bryan Danielson defeat Sammy Guevara. In the same week, we see Claudio Castagnoli facing off against ‘Daddy Magic’ Matt Menard.

In a match that will allow notable wrestlers to square off against notably sharp on the microphone manages to be a match for everyone. On the surface, it’s hard to see Menard doing anything other than bumping left and right against the punishing Claudio Castagnoli.

Could a win here put Castagnoli in a position to be considered threat for another singles title in AEW? While he’s competed in both singles and tag action outside of the AEW Championship, could another title under the helm of the Blackpool Combat Club showcase their strength as a faction?

Wardlow (c) vs. Matt Taven with Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis

Since the arrival of The Kingdom on AEW, the duo are as focused on capturing tag team gold as it is walking away with singles titles. Here Wardlow stands across the ring from, as he’s said, a grand slam champion in Ring of Honor. The difference here is it isn’t ROH it’s AEW, and it’s Wardlow’s World. So while the comment was a tad cliche, there is some truth to it.

Wardlow will likely have Samoa Joe in his corner but needs to have eyes in the back of his head as members of The Embassy could get involved. Does Matt Taven have a realistic chance of walking out of the TNT Championship? Anyone has a chance to win at any time. But he’s standing against the massive Wardlow, and his meer presence screams unbeatable.

    What To Expect:

    • Further video trailers of the return of The Elite in AEW.
    • Next week’s Dynamite’s big matches between Allin and Lethal and All Atlantic Triple Threat having further build.
    • The Acclaimed address the new #1 contenders for the AEW Tag Team Championship, the former champions, Swerve in Our Glory.

Please share with us what you expect to happen this week in the comment section below for AEW Rampage for 10/28/22.
