Welcome to the latest edition of AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 12/9/20! It is safe to say that last week’s AEW Winter is Coming shocked the wrestling world. Sting returned to TNT for the first time in 19 years in an unexpected AEW debut. Jon Moxley lost the AEW World Championship to Kenny Omega, which wasn’t even the most surprising part. Don Callis of IMPACT Wrestling helped Kenny Omega win the title, and then they both left the arena for an appearance on Tuesday’s Impact! What can AEW possibly have in store for us on this week’s show?

    Abadon in Action

Hikaru Shida seemed to be scared, and who can really blame her? Abadon has returned from injury and seems to have set her sights on the AEW Women’s World Champion. Abadon’s first-ever match in AEW was against Shida earlier this year. She made quite the creepy and memorable first impression. She will be in action again on Wednesday night. What poor soul with be against the creepiest star in the AEW Women’s Division?

Shaq Addresses AEW with Tony Schiavone

    No description available.

After AEW Full Gear, Cody Rhodes was going to address his future plans. He was interrupted by Jade Cargill, who warned Cody that “Shaq” was coming. This was shocking but wasn’t followed up on as Cody Rhodes moved onto a feud with Team Taz in the weeks that followed. That is until now.

Shaquille O’ Neal will talk to Tony Schiavone on Wednesday night. What can he possibly say? Shaq is a large personality that has been involved in wrestling off and on for years. What will his role be in All Elite Wrestling?

Sting Will Speak with Tony Schiavone

    No description available.

Tony Schiavone will be busy on Wednesday night! This will be a special moment. The voice of WCW will talk with the face of WCW in an AEW ring almost twenty years after WCW ended their infamous run on TNT.

What will Sting have to say after his shocking return last week? Sting is one of the most famous wrestlers in professional wrestling history; it will be great to see how he will interact with the very talented AEW roster. I cannot wait to hear him speak yet again.

FTR vs Brian Pillman Jr. & Griff Garrison

FTR are devastated. For all their bragging, they lost their AEW World Tag Team Championship at AEW Full Gear. It has taken them weeks to recover from that devastating loss to the Young Bucks. They are finally back in action this week on AEW Dynamite on Wednesday night.

They will face “The Varsity Blondes” on Wednesday night. Pillman and Garrison have made an entertaining team on AEW Dark. Can they possibly over the angry FTR on Wednesday night? It will be a huge challenge and opportunity for the young tag team.

    Non-Title Match
The Young Bucks (c) vs The Hybrid 2

The Young Bucks have been on a roll since winning the titles at AEW Full Gear. They had a strong match with the young Top Flight team. On this week’s show, they will get a match with the talented team of Hybrid 2.

Hybrid 2 hasn’t had a lot of success recently on AEW Dynamite. They did have a competitive match with FTR just a few weeks ago on Dynamite. Can they build on that success against the Young Bucks on Wednesday night?

    Dynamite Diamond Ring
    MJF vs. Orange Cassidy

It is last year’s winner against the most popular guy in AEW! MJF won the inaugural Diamond Ring in 2019. He used it repeatedly to cheat and win some major matches in the past year. He and Cassidy both survived the Diamond Ring Battle Royal last week to meet in the finals on Wednesday night.

MJF has been busy with some Inner Circle drama in recent weeks. But becoming a two-time winner of the Diamond Ring will certainly be a major accomplishment. Orange Cassidy may play the laziest guy in wrestling, but he cannot be overlooked in this match. He has some epic victories over Chris Jericho this summer. Will “Freshly Squeezed” take his biggest prize to date?

We, Will, Hear From Kenny Omega

In one of the most shocking moments of 2020, Don Callis of Impact Wrestling helped his old friend Kenny Omega cheat to win the AEW World Championship at the AEW Winter is Coming show last Wednesday night. Then Omega and Callis took the AEW World Championship to Impact Wrestling on Tuesday night. To see Omega mock Jon Moxley and remove his Champions’ title plates on Impact Wrestling was a unique sight, to say the least. It is now time for Omega to make his return to AEW Dynamite.

What will Kenny Omega say on Wednesday night? How can he possibly explain his betrayal on AEW last week? And will the Impact Wrestling roster make its presence known on Wednesday night? It could be an exciting night, to say the least.
