Welcome to the latest edition of AEW IGNITE for 9/23/20! Last week’s AEW Dynamite was one of the best of the Pandemic Era. Can they continue their momentum on this week’s Dynamite? This Dynamite seems to be building well on the aftermath of last week’s shocking events. Let us see what they have in store for us this week’s AEW Dynamite!

Coming on the heels of his tag team victory over Private Party on last week’s AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho will be appearing live this Wednesday! It is certainly interesting to see AEW promote this as such big deal since he is on Dynamite constantly. What will the “Demo God” have to say this week? Will he and Jake Hager continue their quest in the AEW Tag Team division? Or will a new potential target emerge for Chris Jericho?

Hikaru Shida & Thunder Rosa vs. Diamante & Ivelisse

Last week, Thunder Rosa defended her NWA Women’s Championship in a very good match against Ivelisse. After the match, she was immediately attacked by Ivelisse’s tag team partner, Diamante. As the Women’s Tag Team Cup champions begun to celebrate, Hikaru Shida arrived and knocked both of them out of the ring. In a sign of respect, she handed the NWA Women’s Championship back to Thunder Rosa.

This week we will have a rare Women’s tag team match on Dynamite. Will the Tag Team Cup winners pick up a major win over the two champions? It would certainly push them both back into title contention. And can the two Champions work well as a team? It will be fun to find out on Wednesday night.

    TNT Championship
Mr. Brodie Lee (c) vs Orange Cassidy

Brodie Lee has looked quite dominant since winning the TNT Championship last month over Cody. While he has had some issues with his Dark Order teammates, he has remained a difficult champion to defeat. Enter Orange Cassidy.

Orange Cassidy is coming off the biggest win of his career over Chris Jericho at AEW All Out. He has been putting on some of his best work in recent months as well. Who will win? It is really hard to predict a winner between two of the best the company has to offer.

Jon Moxley, Will Hobbs & Darby Allin vs Lance Archer, Brian Cage & Ricky Starks

As we are just a few weeks away from a huge AEW Championship match between Jon Moxley and Lance Archer, they get a shot at each other this week in a huge six-man tag team match on AEW Dynamite. In a shocking move, an alliance was formed between Team Taz and Team Archer last week. With these factions working together, who knows what havoc they could possibly unleash on the AEW roster?

Moxley will have Darby Allin on his side yet again in the tag match. The bigger surprise was when Will Hobbs helped Jon Moxley last week and will be a part of this major tag team match. As the newest signee to AEW, Hobbs has shown a lot of real potential. Can he prove to be the deciding factor for Team Moxley on Wednesday night?
